"If you have a question for me, enter this room. It exists just for us. A place for you to come to ask me whatever you wish. A chance for us to get closer. Share your thoughts, tell me your story, ask me your questions.  They will be answered."

Hi, Candice,

I'm Sarah from Hungary. This year was the second opportunity for me to see you and listen to your music live in Budapest.
I'm eleven years old and I'm became your fan with the help of my father (he's favourite musician is Ritchie). Thanks to him all family members - I have three siblings, and many friends - like your music. I learn English with great pleasure. Mostly your wonderful lirycs have been helping me to learn your beautiful language.
My favourite songs are Wish You Were Here, Call it Love and Wind in The Willows. I really like them.
At summer nights we sit on the balcony, play guitar and sing your songs. The adults smoke shisha. In autumn we are waiting for the Christhmas and your new songs about it.
On Christhmas Eve we will sing the "Christhmas Eve", and we'll hope that in the next February we'll meet again in Budapest as almost usual.
When can we expect your following LP? According my father, Secret Voyage is the best LP you've ever made.

Yours sincerely,
Sarah Bagladi
Gárdony, Hungary

Hello dear Sarah,
Your English is really excellent! It sounds like a beautiful life you are living...close family and friends, an appreciation of music and nature and all that surrounds you. I wish you always to be as comfortable and enchanted as you are in these moments. Our newest CD will be out in Europe at the end of the summer. It has 15 songs...16 with a bonus track if you get that cd instead. There are new songs, new versions of some old songs and some traditional melodies as well. Let's see if your father still prefers Secret Voyage when he hears the latest cd! Of course, everyone will have their favorite cd and favorite song and no one is right or wrong...it is all just a journey through music. And I appreciate your fathers love of our last cd.
Looking forward to coming back to Hungary!
Love and light,
Candice

Hello Candice,

I have been a fan of your music for the past six years now. I have seen you perform three times. I love every song I hear by your Blackmore's Night. My absolute favorite is Once In a Million Years. I am a musician who plays tambourine, and sings my husband and I already sing Way To Mandalay. I am hoping to add the shawm so that we can perform The Circle. I was wondering where you got yours.
Best Wishes
Belinda

Hello Belinda,
How wonderful that you are singing with your husband. Its so amazing to be able to share something as powerful and emotional as music with someone that you love. I wish you both the best of luck with your performances! Actually, at this point I have quite a collection of woodwinds so they are in various keys and sizes. The instrument I play on the Circle is a bombard with a plastic reed and believe it or not I got it on ebay! Its incredible where you can find things if you look and then you just see if the puzzle pieces fit one day where it can work! But I try to keep my eyes and ears open for new instruments in new and different places. Another great source is http://www.earlymusicshop.com/  I picked up a couple of woodwinds there at the actual store as well as online. Also some old music shops may have a couple ling around. You never know when you'll cross paths with something you can use!
Best of luck with everything...
Love and light,
Candice

Candice, First and foremost thank you for your music. Music truly is the roadmap to the soul.
Is there any chance that Blackmores Night will be coming to Colorado in 2010? You all would love it here.

Russ Erganbright

Hello Russ,
Love your quote! And thank you for listening.... Believe me I would LOVE to explore Colorado! It is one of the places I have been looking forward to visiting ever since I saw videos of performances from Red Rocks many years ago. We will be adding some US tour dates later on this year so fingers crossed (yours and mine!) we will be heading out that way... It is definitely on my wish list! I hope it comes true this year.... Keep checking Blackmoresnight.com for confirmed tour dates!
Love and light,
Candice

Hi Candice.

My name is Riikka, I'm 22 years old and I live in Helsinki, Finland. I've been listening to Blackmore's Night for 4 years now, and it's almost needless to say that I absolutely adore your music! A dream come true for me was the Helsinki gig in the June of 2008, and meeting with you after the show. You are such a sweetheart, and that day is still one of the most magical days of my life. You are a true inspiration for me, and a role model. I wish you all the best in your life!

And yes, I do have a couple of questions. I can't wait for the new album to be released, and I've been wondering the theme of the new album. I mean, do you already know what the album will sound like, or do you and Ritchie find the sound during the studio sessions? And what is your favorite place to write new lyrics, and is there a season that inspires you the most?

Can't wait for you to return to Finland! I really do think that you should perform here every year ;)

Much, much love and faerie dust.
Riikka Kiviaho

Hello Riikka,
Thank you for your kind words and it was so nice meeting you in Finland!
You know, this is the 1st album that we didn't really have the songs written before we went into the studio! We just created them as we went along. That was more difficult a process for me because I'm used to our usual process or writing them as we travel so when Ritchie comes up with a melody I can live with it and absorb it and when the words come they flow through without me having to rush them at all. But this time, many of the tracks were written and the backing track laid down and I only had a day or two to feel and absorb the musical part. It was just a totally different process than what I was used to but I am still really pleased with the result of the songs that came from it. But once again, its the music that kind of pulls you- you never lead the music...it takes you where it wants you to go..you just allow it to flow and become the passenger. I have to say that each season I find inspiration. The stark cold winter nights in silence with the moon reflecting off the water in icy blue of winter, the green buds when all springs to life again in spring, the misty heat of summer and clear blue skies, or the firey trees of autumn..I have no favorite. I love them all equally and am in awe of each season.
I am looking forward to being back in Finland again soon!
Much love,
Candice

Hi Candice, I really enjoy your site. I love your creativity. I noticed you have a link to Save-A-Pet, an organization that we support with profits from our site. They recently added a link to our site and I was wondering if you would be willing to do the same. As pet lovers, my wife and I have a small pet supply business and our goal is to help pet owners get great products inexpensively. We were wondering if you would put a link to our site on your links page, our site is called www.dogkennelscenter.com .In exchange for linking to our site we would love to offer you a $50 certificate towards any item in our store.

Thanks a ton in advance,
Patrick Sedivy.

Hi Patrick,
Thank you for the offer of the gift certificate, but I'd do it because I believe in what you are doing! Thank you for your hard work and for helping those that give so much and have no voice. People like you are the true angels on this earth.
Keep up the amazing work and kiss the furry ones for us!
Love and light,
Candice
