Dear Candice,
This is a short e-mail, although, I would have a lot to
tell you.
First, I would like to thank you and Ritchie for all the
great tunes. It
brings me so much happiness and escape, when I am so sad
(My mother died).
Your songs makes us have a mind to dance and enjoy life.
Then, I have a few questions for you.
Will you soon release a Blackmore's Night DVD (with video
clips, concert,
etc...) ? Where can we find all your video clips ?
We would be so happy to see you in tour. Will visit us in
France ?( I have
already the costume ! )
Candice, do you love unicorns ?
Blackmore's Night has made songs about gypsies, sirens (Loreley)
and ghosts.
Do you think you could make a song about unicorns ? I am
sure you would make
it a beautiful one. I am fond of unicorns, so it would be
an honour if you
could.
I wish you and Ritchie all the best for the future. You
are both great !
Gros bisous de france ! (Big kisses from France !)
Sophie
Hello Sophie, Thank you so much for
the beautiful words. I am glad that our music can help to
ease your pain and bring some magic and beauty into your
world when you need it most. To answer your questions, we
did record a DVD in 2 different German castles. We were
told by our record company in Germany that they would be
releasing the DVD in 2003 but they haven't done it. I don't
know why. So many people have written in to ask about it,
I don't know what to tell them. I am disappointed too. I
do hope that they decide to release it this year. The video
clips are in a few different places. I believe that Renaissance
Faire, No Second Chance and Shadow of the Moon can be seen
as part of the Behind the Music video which you can get
on the www.blackmoresnight.com
website. There are video clips for Fires At Midnight,
Home Again and All Because of you that SPV (our record label)
told us would be released on the DVD. The video for Way
To Mandalay is on the US version of Ghost of a Rose, in
CD Rom version. And The Times They Are A Changing was released
on the special edition of the Fires At Midnight album in
the red velvet box released in Europe. I would love to come
and play France- I haven't been there in years and have
been longing to come back and bring our music to you. It
is sad for us because the promoters there are difficult
to get shows with and I am not sure what is happening with
the record label there. I don't hear much feedback from
them in that territory. I hope that will change. I do love
unicorns, and all the represent. One of my favorite songs
is the Last Unicorn. It will be hard to follow a song like
that... But I am thinking of writing a song about unicorns...
I promise I will try... Love and light, Candice
HI Candice,
I got just one little question I hope you can answer me.
Sometime ago I read on some page of a castlehotel that this
would be also yours and Richies favourite to come to from
time to time. It was a castle that also offers visitor rooms
for the "normal" citizens. Maybe you know which castle I
am talking about and I would be very happy could you tell
me the name and maybe also a weblink to it, because I want
to make someone a little present.
Best regards,
Jan
Hello Jan, Ritchie and I have been very
lucky as far as staying in castles goes. Each place you
go to has its own identity and you could swear that if you
keep very still , the castle walls will share their stories
with you. And they have many! Here are a few of our favorite
castles to stay in while in Germany. I hope that everything
works out with your present! Love, Candice
Hi Candice !
I just would like to ask if you are realy do archery or
it was only an
essay? (there is a picture on your website).
Regards,
Zoltan
Hello Zoltan, Yes I really do! I love the
bow and arrow. I would never kill or hunt anything... but
target pracice is very focusing and calming for me. I have
a 40 pound bow - no sights (old fashioned!) and hand made
arrows that a friend of mine made for us. We even have a
circular straw target set up in our back yard by the
bonfire pit, so that we are able to shoot from the deck
of our house to the target. Ritchie and I often have
contests Actually, that photo that you are referring
to was taken in a medieval restaurant in Moscow, Russia
on our first visit there. They have the archery set up for
the people waiting for their food! Although a lot of the
people in our entourage were shooting the bows and arrows
(and doing quite well!) I was the only one to get a bullseye.
I think it may have annoyed some of the people who were
trying so hard but...all in good fun! Thank you for your
question... Love and light, Candice
Hi Candice! I make a special about AINA
Please answer this question? How did you get the job to
work with AINA ? What are your memories on this?
Greetz THOR
Hello Thor, I was contacted by Sascha Paeth
who told me that he would like me to sing a couple of tracks
on the Aina CD. He sent me the demos and I fell in love
with them... I couldn't get the songs out of my head. They
would follow me into my sleep and stay with me through the
night. I went into the studio the next day and did both
tracks very quickly- it was very natural. Then I wrote to
to creators of Aina and thanked them for allowing me to
do those songs...told them I thought that they were just
so haunting. They wrote back and said that they were very
happy with my performance. They said that it was just what
they wanted and that I had made those songs my own. I still
have yet to hear the complete album as I have only heard
what I have completed so I am very much looking forward
to hearing it in its entirely. I am sure that it will be
as amazing as I envision it to be... Love, Candice
At last, after many months of hard work
and decision anguish
the "new" site is online. There are some new elements such
as a
Guestbook, where you can write some comments or get in contact
with
other BN fans, and in the Join section you can subscribe
to our
mailing list. If you discover a broken link or anything
else that
doesn't appear to work please let me know.
Please have a look at the renewed site and let me know what
you
think, hopefully you'll like it.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2004!
Best wishes,
Paul Deblond
