Dear Beautiful Faerie,

Thank you for the joy you bring into our souls. I'm a 42 years old rock fan
from a forgotten corner of the world, called Romania. Here, we didn't have
the chance to enjoy live shows, as we were isolated by the iron curtain
during the communists and by poverty after the '89 Revolution. But, in my
part of the country, near the Hungarian border, we had always access to
information and I grew up with the BIG music, including Deep Purple. I was
very glad when Ritchie found such a talented, delicate, beautiful Faerie, I
have listened all your albums. Now, I have an 8 years old daughter, she is
also a fan of yours. I don't think that in the future I will have the chance
to see you live, because even if you will come in Romania, all the bands go
to Bucharest... but I will enjoy your great music on DVD's and CD's.

Thank you and keep on doing as long as you can (I mean forever) these
marvelous, magic things you used us with...

Florin

Hello Florin,

I believe the faeires may be smiling upon you and your beautiful daughter. It looks as if we will be coming to Romania, not just Bucharest, but Cluj as well. This is what the agents are working on right now...so I just wanted to let you know that it is being worked on! And you are not forgotten.... We have been wanting to come to Romania for years! And one of our best friends is from your country so I hope to learn a few words in Romanian from him before we come to play there...

Hope to see you at the show! And may the New Year smile upon you...

Love,
Candice

Hi Candice,

Just caught your Christmas Eve acoustic video, just fantastic! The combination of Ritchie's flawless guitar work and your beautiful voice, it's just outstanding. Can you tell me where this video was shot? It looks like it's in a castle, but it's hard to tell.

Keep up the great work, I'm going out to get the new cd this weekend.

Ted H.

Dear Ted,

How sweet, thank you so much. I am so pleased with the way that song came out.... and the animations by Michael Clark were just fantastic. But I think you may be referring to the acoustic performance where the band is sitting on the stairs and it is a completely acoustic version of the song? That was shot in Schloss Waldeck in Germany. In their museum portion of the castle which leads to the Hexenspund. We also filmed some of the interview segments of our DVD Castles and Dreams there as well as the SchlossGeist show for German tv which was also on our DVD. However if you are referring to the live stage performance of this song, shot in 2006, it was at our last show in Germany for the season at Landshut Castle. The original footage filmed 2 years ago of us around the bonfire was done at Schloss Abendburg. So, there are about 3 different versions of the song, all which can be seen on my Senses link if you go to Sights section of that link at the index. 3 versions of the song, 3 castles, makes for an extended answer to your question!
Enjoy and stay warm...

Love,
Candice

Candice , what im about to say, may get a lot of gasps from many people, but I really don’t care.

Im a 19 yr old lesbian, and I am very open about it. When im with my GF , we listen a lot to the music you and the band make, it is really relaxing. And my gf really loves all the dresses you wear, and she would like to know, are they self made or made for you, or bought? They all are very pretty….

Im kinda curious, on what do you think of gays and lesbians?

maybe im being silly askin such quesions, but i feel i can open up to you..that may sound wierd, but that s how i am...

i think your a very wonderful person with a great voice, and imsure your very busy this time of the year, but ive never mailed a singer before and i thought hey why not after lookin at your site ,,,see now im babbeling ,,, like i always do ,,,

frohe Weihnachten
Michelle

Hello Michelle,

Thanks for your letter. It makes me a bit sad to hear that you get "gasps" from people about your love life. You ask me how I feel about the gay lifestyle... I believe that love is love, no matter what gender, what color your skin, what difference your age, no matter what labels people who do not understand or people who feel they need to judge others, may put on it. How can "love" be a bad thing? I will never understand that. And if you have found your true love, your soul mate, one who completes and understands you, then you have found truth. A beautiful, wonderful truth. There will always be people who try to tear good things apart. Perhaps they are unhappy, lonely, and they want others to feel as miserable as they do. If you try you can rip anyone and anything apart.... but why? Concentrate on your own being, your own happiness, and try not to be bothered by the others. If they understand, wonderful... if they don't perhaps someday they will... if they never do, then they will never be ready to accept true and unconditional love in its purist form because it must fit in a box of acceptable labels for them. So, let them be... And you can be as well...but you will be happy....

My clothing is a mixture of items I have picked up over the years at stores, Renaissance Faires, some items I have had duplicated or modified. Basically a mix of everything to make it my own identity... as should we all!
Love to your and your girlfriend...be strong and happy!

Always,
Candice

Hi Candice,

I am so glad I have the Castles and Dreams DVD. The concert is fantastic and it is also nice to see the interviews with you and the band, and your Mum talking about the concerts and managing the whole thing. I have been a huge fan of Ritchie’s since 1970 when I was 15, and I was a little skeptical when you guys were starting this thing, but now I just LOVE it. I think the song Ghost of a Rose is arguably the finest thing he has ever done, and you complement this music perfectly with your melodies, lyrics and singing. The albums just get better and better.

Absolutely fantastic live arrangements of Soldier of Fortune, & ‘Child’ as well

My BIG question is when are we going to see you back in the UK, do you think? My wife and I saw you in Cheltenham in November 2003, and it was great. Now we want to get the opportunity to come again, put on the garb so we can get closer to the band!!

Also, do you and /or Ritchie have a view of this unauthorised biography by Jerry Bloom that has come out?

With love to you and Ritchie,

Nick Hannant,

Worcester, England.

Hello Nick,

Thanks for your letter and all your support! Yes, we will be back in the UK very soon! Check Rosemary's email in this section for specific dates. Hopefully one will be close to your area! And, yes, I expect you to be in full garb!! :)
As far as Mr Bloom's book, ah yes, yet another unauthorized biography. He doesn't know anyone on the "inner circle" of people and it's basically the same information that has come out in other books and magazines- mostly people speculating, so we tend not to waste our time on items like that. I do know that for the first time ever, Ritchie has been working closely with a writer who has compiled all the stories Ritchie has told him and that is directly coming from Ritchie so I find that to be much more interesting. The writer's name is Doc Calvinson and the book is called "The Next Stage". I believe they are just putting final touches on that. When it is released we hope to have it for sale at the shows as well as via the website. The information about its release will be posted on our sites as that time grows near.
See you at the shows...

Love and light,
Candice
