Hello Dear Magi Sin
Killer J
I am so pleased that you have visited my
realm and enjoyed the adventures and the
quests that lie within. Have you defeated
the dragon? Experienced the thunder cave?
Returned my song to me? Isn't Magiquest
a wonderful place? It would be nice to live
there... but then again, I suppose I do!
I'm sure that I will be back at Magiquest
very soon... I promise to post it on my
site when I will return. You can see some
of the video that was created for Magiquest
on my Senses section. Click on Sights and
there it is...
Enjoy, Magi, and I will see you soon...
Yours in magic,
Princess Candice

Hello Asma Lijana,
Thank you for your kind words. It sounds
like you know exactly which path to follow.
Keep following your dream...it will lead
you to some amazing places. It is wonderful
to have a mom who believes in you so much.
Give her a hug for me.
Love and light,
Candice
dear candice i have just
had the rare and very delightful discovery
of the music of blackmores night. It was by
chance that i found the song "wind in
the willows" and i was istantly captivated.
I now play your music at high volume al the
time in the car and at home. I researched
blackmores night a little and was most surprised
to learn that the guitarist was also the lead
guitarist of what i consider to be the two
best bands that have ever been, namely deep
purple and rainbow who i grew up with in the
70s. I am also a very great fan of steeleye
span and the haunting voice of maddy prior
and when i first heard your voice on wind
in the willows i was convinced it was maddy
prior. has anyone else commented on this?
I am an english lad (well 43 really) and I
have wanted to learn an instrument since i
was at school but have failed miserably on
electric and acoustic guitar and keyboards
but listening to your music may inspire me
to once again pick up my old red strat copy
and have another try . I struggled with 12
bar and blues based rock but I may have a
dabble with fingerstyle now. Keep your fingers
crossed. No doubt it will end up through the
window.
I have downloaded quite a few of your songs
and i would like to know if there are any
dvds available. perhaps you can help me on
this. i shall sign off now as its late . i
look forward to hearing from you soon candice.
Alan.
Dear Alan,
Hello! Well, you have to know that Ritchie,
being English, is very well versed on the
folk bands from the UK and therefore has a
more extensive knowledge of those singers
that I do. He, of course, knows all about
Maddy Prior, I think he even mentioned that
Ian Anderson once worked with her if I'm not
mistaken? Though he hasn't compared me to
her as of yet, he has mentioned her name around
the house. He does, though, sometimes mention
that he thinks I have remnants of the vocal
quality of Maggie Reilly in my voice. I do
have a few Maggie Reilly cds, and of course
some of our favorite songs are the ones she
had done with Mike Oldfield, so that is always
a big compliment. I will be looking more into
Maddy Prior's music and Steeleye Span since
I've been meaning to do that for sometime
now. Thanks for the push in the right direction!
It sounds like there is music in your blood!
If guitar isn't the right instrument, there
are many others to choose from...don't give
up. Nothing that is rewarding ever comes that
easily...And if you stop trying you'll always
wonder and wish you could have learned it...Keep
saying- Just one more try...
Yes! There is a DVD! It is called Castles
an Dreams and shows us at a castle in Germany
and there are about 20 sings featured on it.
Mixed in 5.1 surround sound and with an extra
disc filled with bonus material, it may take
you a whole weekend to watch this one.
There are also a couple of older vhs tapes
of the band in its early stages available
on the merchandise page of blackmoresnight.com.
But I would recommend the DVD. Its available
at amazon.com or on your local amazon shop.
Enjoy!
Love and light,
Candice
