Hello Joanna,
Almost all of the sons that you mentioned are songs that
we do in concert. I do hope that your mom will allow you
to come see us play this year. We will be in
Poland on Friday,
5.23.03 in
Wieliczka
performing at the Kinga Chapel and Sunday 5.25.03 we will
be in
Warsaw
at the Roma Theatre. Come and see us! Yes, it's true, my
mother's side of the family comes from the area that used
to be Prussia and some of them are from a lost town named
Tristina which I can't seem to find on any maps. But my
grandmother came from Bialystock at the beginning of the
1900's so when I go back to Poland I can feel my roots surrounding
me. The earth is the same earth she would have stepped on.
She may have passed the same trees. It brings me closer
to my ancestry and I always get a warm feeling when I return
to Poland. I hope one day to get more time there and explore
the countryside and the villages. Perhaps I will see you
there...

I was just wondering if the Past Times with Good Company
concert is also on DVD, or if you have any plans to release
it as a DVD?

Hello Jeff,
We did record a couple of shows from the time that the live
album Past Times With Good Company was recorded which was
actually the Fires At Midnight tour. We recorded a show
in Solingen Germany at a beautiful outdoor venue named Schloss
Burg and we also recorded the indoor, mostly acoustic shows
at Wartburg Castle in Eisenach Germany which is also Bach's
home town. The shows were recorded for a DVD release and
there will be interviews and special footage on the DVD
as well. That DVD will be released later this year. There
are 3 other videos available right now, but they are in
videotape form as of right now. They are available on
www.blackmoresnight.com
on the merchandise page. As soon as the DVD is available
I will be sure and put it on the news page here. Thanks

Hello Joe,
On behalf of Ritchie and myself I'd like to say Welcome
Back! Ritchie and I started making music on record together
back in 1995 when he recorded the album Stranger In Us All
with Rainbow. At that time the band was in a farm in Massachusetts
writing songs and there was about 6 feet of snow which kept
them indoors for weeks at a time. It must have been very
hard to create like that and Ritchie would often call me
up at our home and play the backing tracks that they were
having a hard time coming up with lyrics for. So, I wrote
the lyrics for 3 songs (Black Masquerade, Wolf to the Moon
and Hall Of The Mountain King ) on that album and then Ritchie
decided to give Rainbow a song that him and I had written
previously. The name of that song is Ariel and you can hear
me clearly as the ghostly voice at the end of that song.
I did some background vocal work with Ritchie on the song
Apache on the Twang! Tribute to the Shadows album and I
did a guest featured vocal spot on 3 songs with Sabine from
Edensbridge and Tarja from Nightwish on Beto Vasquez's Infinity
album. But as far as our Blackmore's Night albums are concerned-
at this point there are 4 albums with our 5th one, Ghost
of a Rose to be released around July 2003. The first one
was Shadow of the Moon (1997), Under A Violet Moon was album
number 2 (1999) , the third was Fires At Midnight (2001)
and our last one released earlier this year was a double
live CD called Past Times With Good Company. I believe all
of them are available in major retail stores, but its probably
easier to get them on CDnow.com
or Amazon.com so they can come right to your door!
