Lady_Beth...
Hello Dear Lady Beth,
I am sorry it has taken a while to get back to you.
You must understand that I get so many wonderful letters...I
wish that I could respond to all of them right away,
but it is impossible. So I ask that you be patient
with me...I will respond to everyone no matter how
long it takes. Although we haven't been to South America
yet with this project, I was there once before, a
long time ago, with Rainbow when they performed there.
I thought that Chile was incredibly beautiful and
the reflections of the snow covered mountains will
always stay in my mind. You must be surrounded by
beauty there...and may you always be...
I am glad to hear that you like the music so much!
Thank you! I hope to be able to come to Chile one
day and sing Ghost of a Rose and No Second Chances
with you...
Love and light,
Candice
Dear Candice,
I am writing just to thank you for your songs, which
are full of life! You know, every night there
are a lot of stars in the sky and sometimes
the moon. And in those hours when my bedroom
is filled with moonlight I just cannot stand
on the place I want to dance. There is music
and some kind of tremor in my heart, and when I heard
your music for the first time I understood that it
was the same music, that played in my heart. O, thank
you again,
Candice!
And could you tell me more about the Renaissance festival
and where does it take place?
Best regards,
Dima.
Hello Dima,
What a beautiful letter! Yes- I hope you are dancing
in the moonight with a million stars smiling down
upon you as you read this. As for the faires- I wish
everyone had a chance to experience at least one!
It will show you a world that you can only imagine.
A world so different than what we see every day. And
the people all think like you and I. They do dance
in the moonlight and dream. I have been to faires
in Arizona, Massachusettes, Connecticut, New York,
Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Germany. They
are all so very different from each other, but with
a similar theme. To exist to transport you to another
place and time. You can see the list here:
http://www.renaissancemagazine.com/fairelist.html
May the moonlight always surround you!
Love, Candice
Hello
and Merry Meet!!
I never thought this was ever possible. To speak
directly with you like this and that you answer.
Because I never bothered to visit your website, just
Blackmore's Night's. This is a wonderful part of your
gorgeous website. Let me tell you, I felt in
love with you! No, no. I'm not a maniac
or anything of that nature. You know what I
mean. I've fallen in love with the image, the
music, the message, the voice(surely lovely may I
say). I've always been a huge Dio
fan and also followed his career with Rainbow and
Black Sabbath. So, when I learned Richie had
a new band who played medieval and the like music
I could't wait. I've been a Pagan for some time
now and knew this music would just fascinate
me. And well, I was so right about that.
I'm in love! With all due respect to Richie,
lol!!! Hey, give me a break. I'm
a single never been married 39 year old and you're
just so lovely and sing like an angel and you're into some
of the same interests as me, like fantasy, the music,
the spirit world, fairies, and more. No, I just
want to put a smile on your face. Don't take
this too seriously, just laugh! But I am kicking
myself that I didn't meet you before him! LOL!!
ok, just laugh please. I hope I'm not being disrespectful.
IT was the last thing on my mind. The song the
Spirit of the Sea makes me cry, I love it. Overall
I love this genre. the message is just so much
more deep and profound. Thank you Candice for
sharing all those wonders of your music, lyrics, beauty
and more with us. How can we ever repay you?
Hello,
Believe me...by writing that email...you just did.....
Love,
Candice
Dear Candice
My name is omar. I am from Iraq , baghdad
I love your songs and they way you sing , you are
one of the best lady singers in this decade and may
be for the next decade ,
Fires at midnight is my favorite song.
The music in these days is cheap and makes everyone
gets sick , bad singers enter the highest positions
in uk and billboard charts and other talented musician
dont , I never saw a video clip of yours , I dont
know why the channels dont broadcast your videos ,
I saw your photo from the internet only.
I wish I can say to you that I love you to be here
in baghdad , but you know the bad situation we suffer
from here , there is no security because of the terrorists
, as an iraqi I want to thank you as american for
liberating us from the monster who was supposed to
be our president.
Well I am waiting for your latest cd to arrive here
in baghdad (ghost of a
rose) , I loved fires at midnight , the same for shadow
of the moon ,and under a violet moon.
I wish all the best for you candice , here is my photo
, can you send me a photo of yours.
Waiting for your reply
Omar
Dear Omar,
Thank you for your beautiful letter. I can't even
imagine what you must have gone through and what you
are going through now. I am so glad that you are finally
free of such an evil dictator and I am so glad that
you wrote to me to tell me your feelings on what is
happening there. I think that a lot of people all
over the world are hearing rumors and gossip and stories
that may not be true and they base their opinions
on what they are being told by their television sets.
But you, who are strong and brave enough to have to
deal with the situation every day, who has seen the
truth and shared your feelings with me, you may open
the eyes of a lot of people who read this site and
allow them to see what is really happening there and
show them that you now have a real chance at freedom.
And I wish for you more strength for the days ahead-
the struggle continues but you must believe me that
, eventually, the good will overcome all of the bad.
I wish for you hope and may all you wish for be within
your reach. And I wish for you happiness and a life
free of monsters. I am closing my eyes and wishing
will all my might that you get all of these things.
Thank you for the photo you sent. You can see my photos anytime

Hi Candice
Your music even stretches to South Africa! I am a
performing musician here and was introduced to your
music a few months back and it has just blown me away.
To finally hear someone that plays my kind of music
is such a pleasure. Thanks. The song Past time with
good company- where does that come from? The music
and the lyrics are so apt and the music so beautiful.
When are you coming over here to perform?
Love and Light
Suzinn
Hello Suzinn,
Wow- that is quite a way! I actually was just going
through a brochure given to me by a frend who
runs a safari company there. That is something I have
always wanted to do! To see those incredible animals
in their natural habitat...it must just be breathtaking!I
would love to come there and perform (and maybe see
the animals on a day off? ) To answer your question:
Past Times With Good Company is a song that was originally
written by the King Of England: King Henry the 8th.
Believe it or not, not only was Henry known for beheading
his wives, but also for being quite a poet and composer
as well! Unless he just stole the songs and beheaded
the minstrels that really wrote them, but I guess
we'll never know the truth about that. I like to think
that he was just a tormented soul with a poet's heart
that was just looking for true love and unable to
find it because women were more taken by his title
and power than they were by him as a person. It must
have been very difficult for him to find someone truly
interested in him as a person...how sad. I do love
the line "For idleness is chief mistress of vices
all..." You can find many traditional purist bands
performing this song if you run a search on the internet
for it. Their versions are a lot closer to how it
would have really sounded in those days than ours
are...we rocked ours up a bit. But a wonderful song
in all.
Love,
Candice
