From a lifetime blackmore fan
now and always
Andy :)
Hi Andy,
Glad that you are enjoying the songs and shows...That is
a really hard question- there are so many great songs that
Ritchie wrote in Purple and Rainbow. I guess my favorite
Purple songs are Child In Time, Stormbringer and Wasted
Sunsets. Rainbow ones are even harder because of the variety
of the singers. I'll say Stargazer, Street Of Dreams, Miss
Mistreated, Stone Cold, and Tearin Out My Heart. But there
are so many that I LOVE! It's really hard to narrow it down.
As for US gigs, we are doing 2 this month. You can get tickets
at
www.ticketmaster.com
or check
www.blackmoresnight.com for all the information. The
dates will be Philadelphia, PA on Sept 17th at the Theater
for the Living Arts and Sept 19th at Westbury Music Fair
on Long Island, New York. Hope to see you there!
Love and light,
Candice

MZ
Hello MZ,
I'm so glad that you are enjoying our musical escape from
the pressures of today's world... The lead singing (and
background vocals) since the beginning of Blackmore's Night
in 1997, has always been done by me. Although on the song
"Wind in the Willows" on the "Under A Violet
Moon" album, I did a duet with John Ford of the English
folk band the Strawbs. On our latest CD, Ghost of
a Rose, I am accompanied by the Sisters of the Moon, Lady
Nancy and Lady Madeline, (you can read more about them on
here:
http://www.blackmoresnight.com/band_bios.html )
They contributed their amazing harmony vocals to Ghost of
a Rose and Way to Mandalay. Thank you for your question...
Much love,
Candice

Hi Candice ~
My husband recently picked up a copy of Fires At Midnight.
I have to tell you that it is different than anything else
I've ever heard on the radio! I knew, before I ever
read your bio, that you must be a Stevie Nicks
fan.
You have a beautiful voice!
Of course, my husband and I are huge Ritchie Blackmore fans
...... from back in the day. I think the first
tune I heard of his was Man On The Silver Mountain ....
then my husband reminded me that Ritchie was also a member
of Deep Purple !! He is now, and was back then, amazing
!
I have been slowly introducing myself to your material ~
and find it both mysterious and relaxing at the same time.
Candice, your voice sounds like a finely tuned instrument.
I'm wondering something ..... are you and Ritchie Blackmore
a "couple", or are you simply band-mates and friends
???
My husband (of 26 years) thinks you guys might be married.
Hope you'll write back.
Thanks for the wonderful music.
Mary Czekalski
Hello Mary,
Thank you so much for your beautiful words...We often see
so many of Ritchie's fans who have been with him since the
beginning have found that they really enjoy the music that
we are performing now. The wonderful thing is that many
of the men will buy the CD's because of Ritchie's name and
history, knowing what an amazing guitarist and composer
he is ,and when they bring the CD's home their wives really
enjoy the music because it transports them to a more magical,
and romantic time and then their children , who are still
innocent and like to dress up as Robin Hood or Maid Marion,
love it also. So it is amazing to see this music bridge
gender and generation gaps. It is so nice that your husband
and you enjoy the music together.
Actually, Ritchie and I have been together since 1989, moved
in together in 1991 and have been engaged since 1994- so
although we are not married on paper, we are in heart, spirit
and mind...and of course, in previous lifetimes- but that's
a whole other subject...
Thanks for your question!
Love,
Candice

Dear Candice and Ritchie,so looking
forward to seeing in the U.K,do you have
any such plans for a U.K tour,i had the pleasure to attend
your concert at
the Buxton Opera House last year, this was my first time
to seeing you, so i
have been hooked on your music ever since.
May you walk on the petals of life.
Dave Boulton
Dear Dave,
How sweet...thank you... England , in all her magic and
beauty- from the white cliffs to the white horses...from
Stonehenge to Mother Shipton's caves...from Avebury to Avalon
is one of our favorite places to play. The countryside,
the legends, the people have all been amazing. It's just
the media and the radio that we're not too crazy about!
But we are returning to you!! The dates are here:
http://www.blackmoresnight.com/tour_info.html
Back to Buxton and many other places. I do hope that you
will come and partake in the evenings event with us!
Love and light,
Candice

Hello Candice,
We are trying to set tribute band for Blackmores Night.
Since now, we have played without the real notes, just by
listening; but now we want to take the notes. So we need
your help, because we couldn't find the instrument list
and the notes anywhere. We dont want to disregard the songs
anymore, so please help us!
Thank you.
Clelia Conti
Dear Clelia,
What a wonderful idea! I am aware of a few bands around
the world that cover our music and help us to spread the
magic. One is Renaissance Night in Berlin, Germany, one
is Minstrel Spirit from Sweden and another in Japan- Please
let me know when you form your band! As for the notes, we
do have tablature books available for all of the albums
except the newest one. The books include the lyrics, photos,
guitar, bass, keyboard, all parts of the songs... You can
see them here:
http://www.blackmoresnight.com/merch.html
I hope that you find what you are looking for... best of
luck with your band!
Love and light,
Candice
