I
saw your great show at Kulmbach yesterday,
but (as many others) I was veeeeerrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
disappointed that you had to stop after
only approx. 70 minutes! (I would have liked
to listen to you 70 hours, not minutes ;-))
What happend? Was the show planned that
way? Does this happen more often??
Best Regards from cold & rainy Germany
Stephan
Dear Stephan,
We were disappointed as well. Before the
show, we were trying to get dressed and
3 times the security guards let strangers
into our dressing room! So we had to wait
until everything was secure before we could
come out and play for you. And there was
a curfew, which basically means that the
venue has the right to tell you a time to
stop and you can not play any longer than
that or they shut the power off.
We've never had that kind of lack of professionalism
by security, but everything has a possiblilty
to happen when your touring.
Everyother show was much longer...
Love,
Candice

live with a dragon
Love Rebecca Caputo
Hello Rebecca,
I love all the mystical creatures! I feel
them around me all the time....
Oh, and by the way...Living with a dragon
is certainly never dull.... but watch that
fiery temper!! From someone who knows.....
Love and light...Yours in mystery....
Candice
You
sing about fairytales as if they were true
and while listening to your music and voice
I’d really like to believe they are.
But tell me one thing:
What makes the fairytale
come true for the White Knight?
Especially when the Princess
is looking for a cunning rouge. Your songs
let me keep the faith always a little longer
than I ever thought I could but there’ll
be a time when faith is lost, never to be
found again. What makes the White Knight
keep the faith?
There are lots of White
Knights, but the songs are sung only about
those who succeeded. Not a single one about
those who perished. And there are many of
them, clad in no armour but the one of faith.
Just to find themselves finally dying naked.
What happened to them?
Since you seem to me like
a fairy, you might have some kind of an
answer. Or a small piece of an answer at
least. If not, please forgive me for bothering
you.
It is never a bother...I
believe those who died did so in honor.
In believing in a cause and having the faith
and the passion so strongly about that cause
to be prepared to give their life for it.
They are the kind who do not need adulation
because that is fleeting. To have the pureness
of heart and the strength of soul is enough
for them. They do not need the words of
thousands, save for the love of one. And
in that pure love, that trust, that faith
and honor...that is enough....Not all princesses
seek a cunning rouge...the real princesses
maybe milkmaids with far more depth and
dimension than one born into the role. White
Knights and Princesses are not always who
they appear to be....
For the fairytale to come true for the white
knight...one must have that compassion,
that pureness of heart and of spirit...that
grants him peace eternally....if that dark
day should ever befall him... he will go
knowing that it was for a cause he believed
in and that the realm he is going to is
one of beauty....Always keep the faith....in
the magic, the music, in your heart and
soul...You may doubt the world and its antics
but never doubt yourself....
Much love,
Candice
Hello
Candice,
I have just recently within the last few
Mths have discovered your music by a good
friend of mine that I work with at B-A-E
Systems (a government contractor) here in
Southern Maryland.
Listening to your music is so very soothing...when
I'am at work I turn it on...and my day seems
to be a bit more brighter..and more relaxed.
When ever I'm on a project to where I need
complete concentration..to read some complex
drawings for some electronic installation
..hearing your music just makes me right
at ease.
There are two types of music that only do
this to me...Your's....and classical music.
Hope some day I may attend a concert of
your's and Ritchie's...Will you be playing
here in Maryland by any chance?
Just one more thing ...will Ritchie be playing
a bit more classical music on future Blackmores
Night cd's...?? Hope so.
Keep making beautiful music ..the both of
you.
Lot's of Love,
*** Kathy ***
Hello Kathy,
How beautiful...I am so pleased that we
have been able to work a bit of magic and
relax you... It seems that is a hard commodity
to come by in these days of high pressure
and high stress...so when you find something
that works... whatever it is... it is a
gift.
You know, I have heard that you have a wonderful
Renaissance Faire there in Maryland. It
is said to be the faire that is the most
musical...you may find some very interesting
music there as well. We have been trying
to get to that faire for years now, but
it always seems to clash with our tours...So,
each year we vow to try to get there! One
year we will make it.
Its a good question about Ritchie delving
more into classical music. Ritchie emotes
so purely that I don't even think he knows
what will come out sometimes... he seems
to be pulling on a higher power. So, its
anyones guess what he will be playing at
any given point. But whatever it is you
can be sure it will be amazing....
We hope to be playing around your area soon.
We'll keep you posted on the tour dates
page.
Much love,
Candice
Heilsa
Candice,
I only started listening to your music,
that is Blackmore's Night, about a year
ago when an ad in Rennaissance Magazine
caught my eye, and I must say you have the
most wonderful voice. My son (he's 15 months)
seems to think so too. He can't get enough
of the live album.
I have just two small questions for you.
1. Have you and/or Ritchie ever been to
the New York Rennaissance Faire? (because
you look familiar, as in I think I met you
there briefly back in 1996 or 97)
and 2. When are you and Blackmore's Night
playing in the US again? (specifically in
NY...I'd love to come to a show or two,
my fiancee would love it too)
Thank You
Wm. Egil Vafuth
Hello,
Thank you for your kind words and please
give a kiss to your son for me! Yes, Ritchie
and I have been to the NY Renaissance Faire
a number of times, so it is very possible
that we have met before. And as far as shows
in the US...we are hoping to be able to
play here early next year. We're talking
to agents and promoters and working on avails
and routing and all of the things that allows
us to tour. As soon as we book the shows,
it will be posted. But, we are working on
it....
Thanks for your questions...
Love and light,
Candice
Hi
Candice,
I absolutely *love* the
new DVD and CD!! The quality of the music
just
keeps getting better with each CD.
As a volunteer with a local
animal rescue/adoption group I am curious
about your cats. Can you please tell us
a little about them?
All the best,
Ken Albin
St. Augustine, Florida, USA
Hello Ken,
Thank you for your compliments...I'm glad
you are enjoying the music. Ah....our little
ones. Our grey cat, Hopscotch, who will
also answer (or not answer) to a variety
of names including Hopper, Scotch, Popsicle,
Sir Poppenstein etc is a Persian that we
got here on Long Island in 1993. His little
brother, who is much bigger than he is ,
is Romperstilskin, or Romper. He is a Maine
Coon and will be 2 in April. Actually, when
we went to pick him up and they were filling
out the papers, the woman was reading aloud
as she was filling out the forms and mentioned
April 14th. We were a bit taken aback when
she mentioned the date and asked her what
she was referring to. She said that was
him birthday...which is very odd because
it is the same day of Ritchie's birth! They
are very similar in personality, too...my
2 Aries! Hopper is much more tranquil. He
is my special soulmate and my shadow. Whenever
I exit a room, he follows me. He sits at
the window till I return and sleeps curled
up on me at night. We have a deep communication
and are very connected, Hopper and I.
I think its wonderful that you are doing
volunteer work at a animal rescue agency.
We work pretty closely with a few around
us here, as well as trying to get involved
on a worldwide scale by donating to agencies
like WWF, ASPCA, and others when we tour.
When we're home, we sponsor pets at the
local shelter. Keep up the great work! This
world needs a lot more volunteers to help
these amazing animals...Thank you for what
you are doing.
Love,
Candice
