Greetings Candice:
First, we would like to thank you and Ritchie
for bringing back such a wonderful period
of music. My husband and I love the renaissance
and all that it entails.
Your voice is like that of an angel sent
to us to enjoy and dream with and again
we thank you.
My mother was the one who actually turned
us on to Blackmores Night and we haven't
stopped listening since. We were wondering
if you have any future plans on touring
the U.S. again? From the sound of some of
your songs everyone has a joyous time and
we would love to be a part of that. Thank
you again.
Blessed Be
Amber MoonHawk
Dear Amber,
What wonderful words... thank you so much...and
thank your mother for me!
We will be doing more touring in the US...
we hope that this market will open up to
us a lot more in the coming year. But for
this year we have 3 holiday dates. New York
on December 8th, and 2 in New Jersey on
the 9th and 10th. I hope that you are in
the vicinity of these shows so we can sing
together....
check www.blackmoresnight.com
for more information on the venues.
Much love,
Candice
Hi.
(First of all, sorry for
my poor English...I'm a french. But...Not
from France...I live in Quebec Canada!)
I don't know you. I have never heard your
music, but don't take it personal.
I'm just a Helloween fan. Sice a long time.
I wait patiently for their new album Keeper
Of The Seven Key : The Legacy.
As a metal fan, I need to
know. I saw on the website of Helloween,
your name. You will sing on Light The Universe.
What do you think about
that? I don't think that you sing some kind
of Metal. And now, your name will be synonym
of "Metal" for some people like
me. Same if Light The Universe will be a
"ballad". I love them. I just
want to know..Who are you? Why Helloween
ask you to sing on their album and of course...
Will it be great?!
Thanks a lot!
Maybe a future Lovely Fan,
Dom...
Hello Dom,
You ask who I am... I can't tell you...
Its something you need to find out for yourself.
I can tell you that I have shared a stage
with the most incredible guitar legend ever
to be in our time... Ritchie Blackmore.
I can tell you that what I do is very different
than what Helloween usually does but I can
also tell you that I love the song they
sent me and although it is a ballad ...it
definitely rocks. Do I think you'll like
it? I don't know you and can't tell you
what to think. I know I do... I know that
the fans of melodic rock will...
Enjoy...
Love,
Candice
Hi Candice,
I have a question. How do
you stay so skinny? Because everyone tells
me that I'm not skinny and all that stuff
so I was just wondering how you do it. Thanks.
-Lizzy
Hi Lizzy,
I'm actually not skinny- but it helps if
you exercise a bit...even walking in the
forest for an hour a day. That's healthy
for the mind, heart and body. Wear clothes
that make you feel good...it doesn't matter
what's in or out. Never follow fashion.
Eat healthy but when you feel full stop.
You don't need to finish everything on your
plate like mom told you! Drink a lot of
water. But most importantly- don't listen
to what other people tell you. Never compare
yourself to others. You are uniquely beautiful.
Even the models and movie stars that you
see on tv don't really look like that in
real life. They have make up artists, costume
designers, lighting people, touch up and
air brush people all working on their image
to disguise what they really look like to
sell that "perfect" picture to
people like you... Don't believe it. Instead
believe in yourself...
Love and light,
Candice
He is so cute ! Was
he going to be slaughtered?
Do you eat pigs?
They are too precious to eat, right?
Are you and Ritchie vegetarians?
Thanks.
Darren.
Los Angeles
Hi Darren,
Oh no! He was a very clever piggy! He played
basketball with his twin brother and rode
skateboards on the tv show that photo was
from. Although I have always LOVED animals,
I fell in love with a piggy
in Japan in 2004. He was 6 months old and
would roll over when you scratched his belly.
I wish I could've taken him home with me...
I am not strictly a vegetarian. I often
say I'm more of a guiltarian... I eat some
meat and then feel guilty afterwards. But
I am very close. I never eat duck, lamb,
veal, deer, rabbit....any of those beautiful
animals. I have sworn off bacon since 2004.
It's very rare for me to eat chicken or
beef. I'm more of a pasta girl... So, I
am heading towards vegetarianism rapidly
and I cheer on anyone else who is vegan
or vegetarian!!! Also, since I am the chef
of the household... Ritchie eats mostly
vegetarian meals when we stay home and I
cook. We even feel better physically when
we eat that way... I'd rather feed the animals
than have them feed me!
Love and light,
Candice
Hello Candice,
Let me first say that I so regret missing
your show in Milwaukee Wisconsin awhile back;
I believe it was in spring. I had been thinking
of checking you guys out, but, sadly I was
one of the guys that considered Blackmore's
Night "an oddity" as your bio suggests.
The REAL reason I checked B'Night out was
to see where Ritchie was at nowadays. I have
since bought "Ghost of a Rose" cd
and found it to be one of my favorite cd's
of late. May I say that "Ghost"
is one of the most BEAUTIFUL songs I have
ever heard. The cd just won't leave my player!
I plan on retro buying Blackmore's Night's
other releases and REALLY want to see you
guys live. Has a USA release date for DVD
been decided yet? You truly write wonderful
lyrics to go with Ritchie's great guitar music,
it is a match made in Heaven.
Have you thought of playing Irish Fest on
the Beautiful Milwaukee Lakefront in 2006?
It would be Magical! It has grown steadily
to be one of Milwaukee's Most Popular ethnic
festivals on the Summerfest grounds. I am
a married man, Candice, but I am totally captivated
by your beauty, Ritchie is a lucky guy!
Love and Blessings,
Jim Boettcher
Dear Jim,
Well, welcome to the family... I hope that
someday you do come to see us perform Ghost
live in concert one day. It is one of my favorite
songs to do live because it has such a dramatic
intensity in concert. It is very near to my
heart...for many reasons. Yes, I am pleased
to say that the DVD, Castles and Dreams, will
finally be released here in the USA on October
11th. You can purchase it on Amazon
and major retail stores should have it as
well.
I have never heard about the Lakefront Festival
in Milwaukee, ut I will be sure to check into
it now! Thank you for letting me know about
it. And thank you for all your kind words...
Love to you and your wife too....
Candice
