Candice,
I have been an adoring fan for many years and your
music makes my life so enriched with magick and
love! I am so thrilled about your new member of the
family! I love the picture of you kissing Autumn, it
is really an amazing thing being a mother!! I have a
daughter too named Leahness (phonetically spelled
for this realm, but it is from the King Arthur tales
‘Lyonesse’ – the ancient isle where he was
supposedly born that is now under water). She is
such a light in my life and I’m sure Autumn will be
in yours! Please consider coming Texas. There aren’t
any castles, but I’m sure there are many people who
would love you to come here, especially Austin “The
music capital of the world”. I hope one day to see
you perform in Europe in an enchanted castle…that
would be ideal!
Much love Candice!

Dear Candice,
Congratulations to you and Ritchie! We're so happy
to have learnt of the arrival of little Autumn
Esmerelda! She's so lovely and you're such a
beautiful couple!
It's also great that the new album is coming out and
there is the upcoming tour.just can't wait to hear
your new songs and see you again. We'll attend four
of your shows this September (the ones in Kloster
Buch, Prague, Berlin and Duisburg) - we managed to
buy the tickets that are quite close to the stage!
:)
With best wishes to you, Ritchie, little Autumn and
all your family
Anna and Paul
PS See you on tour!
Dear Candice,
congratulations on the birth of your beautiful
daughter. Rob and I are very happy for you and hope
the first months won't be too hard.
They are the most rewarding but also most stressful.
I remember too well the sleepless nights but also
the first smile, first cuddle, first giggle... I
miss that.
Our little girl Samantha is 3 already and growing up
happily. She has started to make conversations and
just cracks you up with funny lines.
Do not worry when you start going on tour again if
you have to leave your little one behind. I will be
hard but it's normal. I was heart broken when I had
to go back to work but I knew she was being taken
care of and happy. You will get used to and it will
give you back some "me" time. Everything is so
intense you do need some "me" time for the sake of
ones sanity! It's also heathly.
So enyoy motherhood and I hope your little girl will
grow up happily and heathily.
I'm sure about it.
Take care Candice,
Lots of love,
Ainhoa, Rob & Sammy =

Back to you Candice.....I have a daughter as
well....there's nothing like it. She is going to be

world. We have such fun together most of the time
when I'm not taking life so seriously that
is.....she keeps me in line though. Brings me back
down to Earth.
I wish you many happy and silly moments with YOUR
new "girlfriend" and I look forward to HER first CD
as well!!! HA HA!
Much Love & Light to you, Richie and the rest of the

Hello Dear Lady,
Congratulations to you and the hubby on the birth of
your child. It is truly a wondrous event. May she
bring long and lasting joy to your lives. Ours are
grown now and we have a seven year old grandson,
quite the creative character he is. I share your

Hello members off
Blackmores Night,
Hello I’am gerold Smits from the Netherlands. I will
thank you for all the hours of fine music. Between
December 2009 and april 2010 I was in Afghanistan.
Four and a half months away from my wife and
children on a small army base in Uruzagan. The only
privacy I had was my bed, my laptop and lots off
books. During the reading I was always listing to
music and one of my favourites is Blackmores Night.
This was my second tour in Afghanistan and youre
music gave me the rest I needed. So thank you for
the music.
Greetings Gerold Smits
Hello, Candice.
My name is Eileen. I'm sixteen years old and I live
in Aberdeen in Scotland. I am a huge fan or
Ritchie's Rainbow and although Blackmore's Night is
a completely different path, guess what? I love it
too.Once I was wondering why is that because I don't
usually listen to the kind of music that you and
Ritchie and making in Blackmore's Night and the
conclusion I got was that it's Ritchies fault (in a
good way, of course). He is a genius in making up
perfect and beautiful melodies and your lyrics and
just so enchanting and magical that I can't stop
listening to your songs. You probably heard all of
that before, but I thought that hearing complements
never hurts and is good for us (I hope you don't
mind them). Before I moved to Scotland I lived in
Poland where I attended music school for five years.
I play piano and sing and when listening to
Blackmore's Night and Rainbow songs I just can't
stop wondering how can you make such a beautiful
songs from just a few simple notes and chords. It's
amazing and Ritchie is a genius. <3
Candice, in a few months I'm expecting my Higher
exams in music and for my final exam I would really
like to sing 'Temple of the King' .
Thank you very much for all that you're both doing.
I love your music and I hope I'll soon see you live.
Yours sincerely,
Eileen.
Hello Candice,
Well I have only just ‘found’ Blackmore’s Night…
shame on me!
However, I am totally and I mean ‘totally’ smitten.
What a lovely combination of music styles.
I can’t get enough!
Deep Purple meets ‘Greensleeves’…amazing.
I have the tune ‘Home Again’ buzzing around my head
constantly….
The main question is one you would have heard dozens
of times …
BUT.. PLEASE TOUR ENGLAND.
Or just come to Norwich and I’ll get the mead in.
Thanks for the pleasure you bring.
Jesq
Dear Candice,
My name is Inês and i'm 15 years old girl from
Portugal.
I love Blackmore's night. I think your band is
amazing.
I love your voice and I think you are really
beautiful, you seems an angel.
I love a lot of type of music and my favourite are
metal and rock... But I prefer symphonic metal and
folk metal. I like gothic rock and punk rock, too.
Blackmore's night is one of my favourite band, you
totally rock.
I like All about Eve like you. It's a fantastic
banda, is'n it?
I play organ and sometimes I sing.... I think my
voice is good to sing symphonic metal or some
Blackmore's night's songs. One day, I would like to
be like you and have a fantastic band like
Blackmore's night, and sing with you.
My mother, my best friend and me want to see you and
Blackmore's night on the stage... We love your
music.
Sorry if my english is bad.
Love and light, Inês
Hello Candice! I writing you to say that a had a

relaxed, with my energy recharged.

Rosana
Hi, Blissful Candies!
I sow you in my dream yesterday! You sang me first
two lines of the Ocean Gipsy. When I asked you, how
to translate the second line, You answered me in
Russian: Dai mne mukh... I woke up with a smile...
This means: give me flys, LOL...
So, we have: Ocean Gipsy,
Dai mne mukh! :-) :-) ;-)
Maybe it`s silly, but funny!
Please, tell Ritchie this story and say Happy
Birthday from Blissful Olga of
Michourinsk (Russia)!
May be you and Ritchie remember me... When you were
in Russia, I present you
russian ancient wind musical insirument, called
Kalijuka, - very long stick,
made of big plant...
Will be waiting for your answere,
Blissful Olga
Hello, dear Candice!
My name is Estela and I'm a big fan of Blackmore's
Night since the beginning, I love the band and the
songs.
My baby was born in June 2009 and since the
pregnancy he was used to listen to the songs
everyday.
He sleeps with the songs since the very first day!
And I just want you to know that he's almost 8
months now and every morning, while his father goes
to the bathroom and takes everything to go to work,
my baby watches the DVD and stay very calm and
relaxed. And I can't change the DVD, never!! Nothing
else works!
He simply loves you! I wish you could see...
His name is Vinícius and I'm sending you a picture.
I wish you come to Brazil, so I can take him to the
show.
Think about it. You have lots of fans here.
Best wishes, Estela and Vinícius.

Dear Candice,
First of all, please forgive me for my not so good
english. I love your music so much. IŽm looking
forward to hear new music from blackmores night.I am
a musician from Theotmally, Germany. Just as a
fan-gift and only for you (not to sell it to anyone)
i recorded a song in myprivate studio. ItŽs the
live-version of one of my favourite Blackmores
Night-Songs: World of stone. I sang the 2nd voice
over your wonderful lead-vocals. I only recorded
this version because i wanted to show you how much i
love your wonderful music. Thought it maybe would be
a nice christmas present. If you are interested to
hear this "new" version from world of stone, please
let me know where i can send it (maybe e-mailing). I
look forward to hear from you,
Eron Martis
I just wanted to
take a moment to congratulate you on all of your
success and happiness. I don't know if you'll
remember me, but this is Jaime (formerly of
Hauppauge). I am blown away at all you have
accomplished.
I moved out of NY over 13 years ago but have kept in
touch with friends there. I have asked Paul on a
couple occasions if anyone has seen or heard from
you, but he had no idea where you were, or what you
were doing. I remember hearing all about you meeting
Ritchie, and then you vanished.
I stumbled upon something on the internet that
mentioned Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night, and
thought, no way! Sure enough it was the little girl
I knew . Well, I remember we had some pretty deep
phone conversations back then, about the turmoil in
our lives at the time, and dreams of better days. I
felt compelled to tell you how happy I am for you,
that you chased those dreams, and realized true
happiness.
Rock on girl,
Jaime
Mss. Candy Night,
To Mr. Richie Blackmore,
To the group "Blackmore's Night".
My name is Lillia Vnukova and I am writing to you
from a city which is very far from New-York. It's
called Novosibirsk and it is situated in Russia, in
Siberia.
1998 I listened to your album "Shadow of the Moon"
for the first time. My friends recommended it to me
as a very good music. I should mention that it is
almost impossible to hear a really good music on the
radio or TV here in Russia. It can be found only
through music-lovers contacts. I liked very much
your songs which are full of medieval spirit., I got
the idea to translate your songs into Russian.
As I can play a guitar it was quite easy for me to
sing your songs for my friends. I write poems and
music too. My friends like my songs which they
sometimes hear. I am a philologist and interested in
the European medieval literature and music. That's
amazing how my songs turn out to be consonant with
yours! It can be, probably, explained by the fact
that my father was a professional musician, and the
repertoire of a classical guitar is mostly medieval.
I grow up in this magical atmosphere medieval music.
After my father's death I miss so much this
atmosphere... May be that makes me understand, feel
your music so well.
When your songs had been translated I could
understand the symbols and images of your works more
clearly. I got the idea to write comments to my own
translations. These comments are supposed to explain
the creative process of translating and describe the
whole concept of your group (the way I got it). In
my comments there is also information about the
Middle Ages and England. This information is not
known to the specialists in Russia. I did not want
to make a scientific work out of my comments. I
chose to express myself with clear and simple words.
One separate part of my comments (Postscriprum) is
devoted to my own verses and stylizations. They are
inspired by the motives from Mss Candy's texts and
by the music. I have translated almost completely
the first two albums: "Shadows of the Moon" and
"Under a Violet Moon", and song Olde Village
Lanterne. I was really indignant with the scornful
reviews of the critics about your second album. I
think it is of a very high quality. Besides, Mss
Candy's texts in the second album sound more modern.
The third album reached the shops in Novosibirsk not
so long time ago. I heard it but it couldn't be
included in my translations. The reason is that
translations:
Shadow of the Moon
Shadow of the Moon, Renaissance Fair, Spirits of the
Sea, Ocean Gypsy, Greensleeves, Be Mine Tonight,
Magical World, No Second Chance, Play Minstrel Play.
Under a Violet Moon
Catherine Howard’s Fate, Avalon, Wind In The
Willows, Castles And Dreams, Morning Star, March The
Heroes Home, Now And Then
Fire At Midnight
Mid Winter`s Night, Waiting Just For You, Again
Someday.
Ghost Of A Rose
Ghost Of A Rose, Where Are We Going From Here.
(The Village Lanterne—2006) Olde Village Lanterne
(!!), Faerie Queen Dance, Windmills // (Winte Carols
– 2006) We three kings
I got simply so tired. Anyway, one stylization from
the third album has been written.
My work has been completed now. The translations and
comments have been done. Recently I’m going to
publish my book which is 72 pages thick and includes
the Russian translations of “Blackmore’s Night”
lyrics and my own comments on them, on the symbols
of Mss Night’s lyrics and the symbolism of the
Middle Ages (www.proza.ru Lillia Vnukova ).
I’d like to publish this book because the interest
for the medieval culture and for the “Blackmore’s
Night” music in Russia is constantly growing. My
book of translations is written for a large circle
of readers and not overloaded with scientific terms.
I do not know what will happen to my group in the
future and even do not try to guess. It is
impossible to make plans in Russia, the life is
unpredictable here.
But the interest for such kind of music here is
growing, especially it is popular with young people,
and we’re trying our best to make it heard.
Sincerely Yours, Lillia Vnukova
Dear Candice,
The very first song from Blackmore's that I listened
was "Loreley".I was charmed by this song (which was
recommended to me by a classmate),so I started to
search for your
song (not only on Internet). From what I saw ,you
have a lot of fans here.I remember that once ,my mom
caught me listening to Blackmore's Night songs
around 3:00 am before an hard exam.I must tell you
that after I listened some i was relaxed and I took
maximum marks. It's a great thing that you "revive"
the medieval time in your songs and adding your
voice results MAGIC.In our days good music is hard
to find and Blackmore's Night is definitely on the
list. Having a great voice, being so beautiful and
singing along with talented mans like Ritchie looks
like "the best card".I am looking forward for new
songs and new concerts.
Best wishes,George-Romania
Dear Candice
This morning, I was waking up and there was the moon
with dark clouds justlike shadows. When I was
driving through the forest close to my home themoon
kept shining through the trees and the clouds were
forming amazingfeatures. This is when I knew – this
is a day of magic, a day where themystic takes
place. Later when I was starting to work (I am a
writer) I came across your musicand I was so amazed.
You know it feels like I have known your music all
mylife. Then I have checked out your website and I
just knew I need to write you.You have such a
wonderful, lovely energy and I love the lyrics of
yoursongs. Your poems are so inspiring. I see the
magic in the words you useand that touches my heart
deeply, because I am writing this way too. Ijust
want to write my thanks for being creative, for
singing the beauty ofwords and for the inspiration
you, Ritchie and your band are able to give. A true
day of magic, to have come across you and. I will
put a link toyour website on my own homepage (www.soulwordart.com)…I
always love tosupport other artists, in whatever way
I am able too. May the success keepgoing on for you
and Ritchie. Greetings from SwitzerlandMarlene

music!
Dear Candice!
I wish you a Happy New Year!

Many greetings from Moscow
I have always been
a fan of Ritchie's, going back to his Deep Purple
Days, then on through his time with Rainbow. Up
until a year or so ago I was not aware that
Blackmore's Night even existed. Then a friend, who
is also a big fan of Ritchie's, told me to give your
music a try. I was a bit reluctant, as I could not
picture the hard rocker playing this style of music.
However, I gave it a try. I found Ghost of a Rose at
the cd store and bought it. From the moment I heard
Way to the Mandaly, I was hooked. I just got Paris
Moon as a Christmas present, and I cannot say enough
good things about it.
I have other dvd's recorded during Ritchies career,
both with Deep Purple, and with Rainbow. He always
seemed to have an angry countenance while on stage.
Not now. He seems to be truly happy performing with
you. I am glad that both of you have found an outlet
to produce such magical music. Your live version of
Diamonds and Rust sent chills down my spine.
I wish you both continued success and happiness.
Neal Ross
Dear Lady Candace,
Somehow, I stumbled across a link just yesterday on
YouTube which introduced me to your music. I'm a
lifelong gutarist (going on 56 now), and I play
nylon-string guitar mostly, very classical in style
but with jazz, flamenco and new-age influences. It's
what I do for a living, and I also teach guitar and
freelance in web design. My wife played music in her
youth (woodwinds and piano), but now has very little
time for it, busy as she is.
Anyway... I was aware of Ritchie's work from his
rock days, but to be honest had not followed him
very closely, as I've always been only casually into
rock music... it's too loud and uni-dimensional for
me, and I much prefer the acoustic side of things...
so I never pursued Ritchie's career to learn of his
interest in the kind of music you do. Imagine my
surprise, then, to discover this entirely unknown
side of Ritchie's muse, and to discover your own
wonderful voice and lyrical excursions! I need to
get out more!
I bought Secret Voyage on iTunes, and plan to buy
all your albums. I've been playing the album
constantly, and have become a genuine fan. I love
Lorenna McKinnett, Enya, Andreas Vollenweider and
other musicians and composers of that calibre... and
now have added Blackmore's Night to my short list of
favorite artists. The beauty and originality of what
you are creating is like a tonic to my old heart.
I don't really know why I'm writing, other than to
hopefully steal a moment of your time to let you
know that I'm at a point in my life where I really
needed to hear your music. I'm struggling with
dreams of my youth that won't go away but never
quite came true, particularly in my music life. Some
of that is my own doing, as I dislike much about the
music business, and seem to have been avoiding it as
much as I have pursued it. In any event, it's
inspiring to me to see the turn Ritchie took with
his music... he could have just ridden the rock and
roll monster forever and raked in the easy chips,
but instead he opted to play real music that he
loves, reinventing himself and moving in such a
delightfully creative direction.
I feel a great happiness for you both, as you
clearly seem soulmates who have found their path
together and have managed to make it all work. I
admire that greatly, and I'm sure you're both keenly
aware of how incredibly fortunate you both are to
have found each other. The joy you feel can be seen
on your lovely face when you perform, and even as
mercurial and stoic as Ritchie seems to be, I can
still sense he's a very happy musician, and a man
supremely content with his life. I should be quite
surprised to learn that such was not the case.
God bless you both, I say. I'm very glad to have
discovered BN, and hope you might have an
opportunity to play in Bloomington, Indiana one fine
day. Bloomington is a fantastic town, full of
culture and counter-culture (I know they've had Ren
Faires in the past), and I'm sure a BN concert here
would be an extraordinary experience for you.
May all your dreams continue to come true, my dear.
And my best wishes to your lucky husband.
Sincerely,
8-) Jeff Foster (,@)===:::
Greetings to the
beautiful Lady Candice!
My husband and I went to the concert in Orlando on
November 3rd, and we absolutely loved, loved, loved
the show. The atmosphere was so magical, and we felt
comfortable and right at home and also met some
really great new friends. We live just outside of
Altlanta, Georgia, in Douglasville, and we drove
7-1/2 hours just to come see you all in concert. I
first found out about Blackmore's Night in the first
issue of the Faerie Magazine, (thank you Faerie
Magazine!). The first CD I bought was Shadow of the
Moon, and I was instantly hooked! It was around
about this time 2 years ago when I became a fan, so
it all came full circle when my husband and I were
able to see Blackmore's Night in concert.
Since the concert, my husband, Jay, is a huge fan as
well now. He asked me also to tell you and Ritchie
hello and he sends his very best. : )
You are truly such a beautiful person with such a
beautiful voice. I feel swept away when I hear you
sing and when I hear Ritchie play, and seeing and
hearing you all live was so incredibly wonderful.
Thank you for what you do and for being you!!!
Hope it won't be too long before we see you all
again Under a Violet Moon!
Best wishes always,
Cathy Eidson
Hi Candice,
Just had to say once again how lovely it was meeting
you at the Ren Faire
while you were here in Florida. I know that you got
there kind of late in
the day but I hope you had a wonderful time while
you were there.
I must tell you that I have been taking belly dance
lessons for nearly a
year and am considering coming up with my own
routine to Cartouche or
perhaps Trapped Within a Crystal Ball. I think
either would be perfect for
bellydancing, it's just a matter of what I can come
up with. Whatever I
come up with, I'll be sure to let you know and
hopefully find a way to get
the video to you.
My other motive for this is to introduce your music
to others as it really
does need to be shared.
Much love,
Polly
Hi Candice,
I went to the show to see Ritchie Blackmore because
I had never seen him. I have a recent Blackmore's
Night CD. I knew the kind of music I would hear. I
make music and I know a good performance when I hear
one. The band was great and Ritchie was a joy to
listen to. But you, when you sang Joan Baez's song,
that is when I went into a trance, closed my eyes
and said to myself, there it is. Over the top
genius. Bravo, fabulous, thank you very much for the
whole evening. What a pleasure !
Best wishes for continued success and happiness !

Hello again Candice,
I had to take a moment as we prepare to leave to say
hello before we see you tonight. We – which includes
our five year old – are very excited about hearing
you all tonight. We listen to your music every
morning on the way to school, per request of our
daughter, Arwen, of course! She has a new favorite
song every few weeks and in the meantime, we listen
to it NUMEROUS times in the morning commute to
school and other transits to soccer practice and
gymnastics. Two years ago at Raleigh/Durham, just
before her fourth birthday, we brought her to see
you then and she remains a BIG fan! (We must include
her and father and me in that, of course!) We sent
an email then, requesting her favorite songs and lo
and behold, there they were as the first three
songs! That meant so much to us since, as a three
year old, she wasn’t able to last the entire concert
and we left her father there to enjoy the rest
alone. (I told you then about how she has named her
‘personal fairy’ that lives in our wall behind the
fairy door Cartouche, from her first favorite song.)
She told everyone while she was trick-or-treating
last night that she was going to see Cartouche sing
again. She marveled this morning while she looked at
the fairy door that it was “amazing how you get big
to sing at concerts and then little again so you can
come home to our house to rest behind the fairy
door.” It’s as though she’s keeping a daily schedule
for you, often reminding us of how you’re getting
ready, resting and practicing your music today to
prepare for the concert!
You cannot fathom how much joy you bring this little
girl. We have tried numerous times in the car to
film her singing along with “Old Mill Inn” and
“World of Stone”, but when she realizes that I am
filming, she gets quiet rather quickly! We are
looking forward to Charlotte and know that
Blackmore’s Night will – as usual – put on a show
like no other.
We are so glad that you all are part of some of our
most precious family moments. Have a safe trip and
‘break a leg’ tonight!
With our deepest gratitude,
Kim and Jeff (and our little fairy, too.)
I'm at a very low point in my life right now and I
just wanted to say "Thank You" to you and Ritchie
for Blackmore's Night. I've been listening to
Ritchie pretty much my whole life and I have to say
everything he puts his hand to is fantastic. With
your beautiful and haunting lyrics and one of the
greatest female voices I've ever heard your music
has been an inspiration. I've really fallen on hard
times and I just want to thank you for the little
bit of hope and sunshine both of you have brought
into my rather grey at the moment life.
Thanks so much,
Brian~

P.S. You should let everyone know when you're going
to make it to Penn Ren and Tux, everyone I know
would love to meet you, talk and relax.
Dear Candice:
I thought I would write to you about the concert in
Massachusetts. I had such a great time. Hearing you
live for the first time was amazing! I loved it when
you sang Rhiannon. That was a pleasant surprise.
It's too bad the Theater wouldn't let you play
longer. I guess things happen that are beyond your
control. I hope to come see you next year. I have a
Theater suggestion for you. The Garde Arts Center in
New London, CT. The Theater was renovated about 10
years ago. It has beautiful Moroccan architecture in
it. I think it would be perfect for you and the
band. I brought a card with me to give to you. I
gave it one of your Security guards. He said he
would give it you. That was nice of him. I hope you
got it. I came to the front of the stage during the
last song. I wanted to give it to you then but, you
left before I had a chance. Thank you for such a
great evening. I am looking forward to the next CD.
Sincerely Emily from Connecticut
Hello Candice (and Ritchie),
Having been a Loreena McKennitt fan for a long time,
I stumbled a few days ago on your music thanks to
some linkages provided by Google. Since then my iPod
is running in loops on your albums. Your sound is
fantastic, and the harmonious music and your voice
just match amazingly. I love it. Thank you for all
the great moments you make me spend with you, please
do go on.
Godspeed on your future projects, I will be eagerly
wait for them. Waiting for that, I might go and
listen to Ocean Gipsy or Far far away for the 20th
time...
Cheers

A French guy living in Sweden
We just returned from the show in Somerville MA, and
I must say, as Blackmore's Night fans, it turned
into one of the most incredible nights of our lives
:-)
Soon after getting settled in our seats, which were
already decent about 10 rows back, we were asked if
we would like to move up closer. To my amazement we
were taken to front rows seats, right in front of
Ritchie!! I couldn't believe it.
We were joined by two of the nicest couples who are
part of the street team. We immediately felt like we
were amongst friends, and will certainly be joining
the street team ourselves soon so we can do our part
to help get the bands message out there.
During the show my wife, Melissa, was given a beer
by Ritchie, I got to shake Ritchie's hand (twice!)
and I got one of Ritchie's picks (big deal to a
guitar player like me). We danced, clapped and sang
as loud as we could. It was an evening of sheer
magic. We were the happiest fans in the world.
Unfortunately, the band didn't get a chance to do
our wedding song (Once in a Million Years), but I
will blame the evil stage manager "Ian" for that. I
can't believe they actually forced the band to stop.
That theater will most certainly be getting a nasty
letter from me. I don't care what the towns rules
are, or what time the band started. To deny all of
us fans the moment we have been waiting for for two
years is just cruel. The people who run that theater
should be ashamed of themselves.
But reagrdless of the early ending due to
circumstances beyond the band's control, we still
had a wonderful time. Getting to be so close the
band was just a dream come true. I only wish we had
the time and resources to follow the band to all the
shows. They are such an inspiration to us.
Keep up the great work. Hope to see you and the band
again real soon. Let us know how we can join the
street team and what we can do to help in any way we
can.
Sincerely,
Robert and Melissa McClung
Hello, the voice of
magical world!
My name is Anil from Turkey. I'm 17 years old. Your
music, i can't describe this just music. When i
heard "Storm" first, i feel " Oh god, if are you
there she must be your fairy of sense. And this
thing must be your moon."
I was feel music with Vivaldi first. Then you was
come and join my voice of the soul.
Thank you and Ritchie Blackmore so much for add this
indescribable music to world.
With love,
Anil.
It was a
pleasure meeting you @ Little Vincents Pizzeria
I have been promoting Blackmore’s night to all my
friends for years now. I am a huge fan. You have to
have one of the most angelic voices I have ever
heard. Your lyrics are mystical and your music is so
uplifting, it takes me away from reality. It is what
music is supposed to do, take you away, and I thank
you for that. I just visited your own webpage,
beautiful. Nice to see you with your parents, they
make a cute couple together. Your mom was funny; she
had a copy of your new CD handy in her inner sleeve
pocket. I am going to the concert on the 29th (can’t
wait). I may be going with a friend so we will
probably go out for dinner in the city, then go see
the show. I don’t know what life is like in a band,
but if you’re able, I would love for you to join me
for dinner before the show. If it is a no go, please
let me off easily, because I was completely awe
struck when I saw you at the pizzeria.

I original discovered your music two in September of
2007 and became an instant fan. You see you music
has touch me and my family in away that I never
would have thought. You on December 7, 2007 my son
died in a car accident in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Matt was 26 years old and his lost was a great loss
to us. During Matt's viewing the casket had been
covered in white roses and the strangest thing was
that when we rode in the car to go to the church for
the funeral service I had forgot that your cd was
still in and the song it played on the way was a
Ghost of a Rose. I know the song is about two lovers
however everytime I hear the verse "when you see a
white rose think of me' I can't help but think of my
son. It usually brings tears to my eyes. It has the
same effect on my wife. We saw you in Charlotte
recently and my wife was reluctant to go because of
that fact. So thank you for not singing it even
though I still love the song. I am truly so thankful
to you and Ritchie for your music. Please continue
to make great songs that will influence other like
you have me and my family.
I want to tell you that we're four friends that just
decided to go to the Blackmore's Night's Concert in
New York, at the Fillmore Theater Irving Plaza
(October 29th). What a marvelous, what a fabulous
show! It was so magic!
We just discovered Blackmore's Night seven months
ago and we play their music. We're from Quebec City
(in Canada) and we made all that trip (1900 km!!!)
to see them and we were not disappointed at all!
Thanks a lot!
Have a good day...

As a big fan of Ritchie and now Candice and
Blackmore’s Night, all I can ask is “Please come to
Sydney, Australia”.
My 7 year old is also a big fan.
Regards,
Andrew.
Hi Candice ~
This feels a little strange, as I've never written a
"fan" type letter before. I'm a full time artist,
working mostly in the Halloween/fantasy genre.
"Wicked and whimsical" is how I usually describe my
work. :)
Like many visual artists, music is a huge
inspiration for me. Whether it's created for the ear
or the eye, art is something for me that comes from
the soul, and I have to say I've found your music to
be transcendent in that respect. I'm a fairly new
listener, having heard "Under a Violet Moon" for the
first time last year on internet radio, and I
immediately had to run out and buy everything I
could get my hands on. I listen to Blackmore's Night
frequently now as I draw and paint, and find it
transports me to a place of magic and celebration -
a place where creativity flows freely, and
imagination is boundless - inspiration in the truest
sense of the word.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks for the
music. It's an ongoing blessing in my life and in my
work, and I look forward to new Blackmore's Night
releases for years to come. :)
Peace,
~ Carolee

Dear Candice,
My husband an I have enjoyed your music for a number
of years. Your
haunting lyrics and musical celebration of the olde
ways is an
inspiration to me.
Six years ago while listening to "Under a Violet
Moon" a story began
to form in my head. The tale is called "Aurora of
the Northern
Lights" and it is the saga of a little girl who is
half human-half fey
and the prejudice she encounters while trying to
find her true home
after her parents die. It is a Christmas story with
a message for
tolerance.
After years of counting syllables and countless
rewrites "Aurora of
the Northern Lights" is making it's literary debut
at the Decatur Book
Festival this Labor Day weekend in front of 70,000
people. So, I just
wanted to say thank you for the inspiration and to
let you know I
would love to send you a copy of my book.
I just want to say thank you
to you and Ritchie for your inspiration and
celebration of a way of
life I hold so dear.
I have included the promotional video of the book as
well as the cover
art to prove to you that I am legitimate.

Hallo Candice, I ám Frank from Germany and a great
Fan from
you and Blackmores Night.
I seen you at the Konzert in Essen ( Germany
Sept.2008),
you look and sang so good and the Band played very
beautiful.
Please execuse my bad Schoolengilsh
Greetings Frank
Dear Candice,
I'm a sixteen year old girl, and I live in
California. I'm half Egyptian and half Mexican,
which is strange, but since my father practically
grew up on everything European I've had the good
fortune to have grown up on Deep Purple and Rainbow,
and I am a huge fan of Blackmore's Night. You really
have one of the most beautiful voices I have ever
heard in my life. It saddens me that you don't often
play in the United States, and since I live on the
west coast it is really difficult to see you even
when you do come here, because you usually play in
the east. It seems that people don't really
understand good music anymore. I write music and
lyrics, and I am a devoted singer, which is what I
enjoy most in the world. I would love to sing with
you someday; I know nearly all your songs by heart
and can harmonize them on the spot. I also play
guitar, not well, but I try, because I idolize
Ritchie. Anyway, I apologize for the drabble. What I
really want to tell you is that I feel like an old
soul, which sounds ridiculous, but the speed of the
world today and the stuff that they call music
blaring on the radio really make me feel out of
place. I'm young but in mind I feel different. Your
music and a lot of the other classic music I listen
to are a sort of refuge for me. Renaissance Faire
really embodies what I feeI, "I was told once, by a
friend of mine, she had seen an olden sign. Said she
was not from this time, and did I feel the same? So
I told her yes I knew her fear as I felt the truth
draw near. Told her back three hundred years, was
the time that I held dear." I truly love that song.
It's just nice to know that someone feels the same
way that I do. It doesn't matter whether I am happy
or sad, your music always fits well with my mood and
makes me feel happy, or happier. It helps me to
relax and go back to a time when life was less
complicated and more romantic. I often wish that I
had lived earlier, but then I remember that if I
had, I would never have heard your music! I really
want to thank you, and Ritchie too, for making such
beautiful music, and making so many people happy. I
really hope that one day I'll be able to see you
play, and maybe even meet you. It's nice to know
that a kindred spirit exists for me.
Lots of love,
Heidi
Dear Candice.
Thank you so much!
I just found your site and started reading some of
the letters you
published there. And now I am crying like a little
child and just cannot
stop it. I thougt at the age of 40 I was in control
of my emotions, at
least enough to not melt away in tears. But I found
myself so much in
some of the letters and now everything is coming
back. Memories of
mental pain, of fear, of deepest darkness, and of a
strong lingering
illness that drained the live out of my body several
years ago when none
of the many medics I consulted were able to help me.
I felt like dying
very slowly and even my spouse was not able to make
me not feel
absolutely alone. She was as totally helpless as I
was. And this was the
end of my life, my brain refused to work properly
any longer, memories
faded, my muscles ticked, my speach became a
mumbling, electrical light
was unbearable, reading a few lines became hard
work. I became totally
powerless and I gave myself up just waiting for the
last ferryman.
At this time it happened that I came across some of
your songs. I cannot
remember clearly wich ones they were, but I remember
myself calling them
"unfassbar schön", which could be translated with
"amazingly beautiful",
and asking what album I was hearing and a minute
later I bought myself
"Fires at Midnight". From this moment on I could not
stop hearing it.
Seriously, I was listening all day long. Your music
moved something
which is hard to describe. I still was extremely ill
and weak, but I
gained back my already lost heart, to say at least.
And from my heart I
gained the power to stand up and fight. It was a
tough fight, long and
frustrating, but I did it, always with your
beautiful voice at my side.
I found the strength to learn about my symptoms, to
discover the
source, to find a medic, hours away from me, who was
familar with this
particular poision which was killing my brain and to
start the strenous
way of curing.
Every ride to this doctor your music was in my car's
stereo and from
this time, for me it became a synonyme for the
nature on my way, for
buzzards and eagles which were sitting on trees I
passed on my way, each
and every drive, just as if they were waiting for
me. And more than
everything else, it became a synonyme for hope!!!
One song in particular
made my cry each time I heard it in this time:
"Written in the stars",
an all time fovourite for me and the anthem of my
struggles.
Today my spouse is my wife, we got two beautiful
daughters after my
recovery and I am back into employment. I will never
get completey rid
of the rests of my illness, too much damage was done
by the poision, but
I am back to live and can handle my days pretty
good. I even started
practicing some tough sports this year, what is
quite challenging at my
age and my physical state. But it adds to my feeling
of beeing alive and
of caring for myself. Sometimes I think I died back
in 2002 and was
reborn for a second chance.
It was your music, that carried me to the fight for
my live, you gave me
strength and without you and Ritchie I surely would
not have been
victorius in the end. I know it sounds so solemn,
but it is the plain
and simple truth.
Thank you so much!!!!
I cannot express my gratefulness properly, just
imagine that I am still
crying right now and you might get an idea. And
maybe you could give
Ritchie a big hug from me? He sure is one of the
luckiest guys to have
you on his side and I wish you two all love and
luck, heaven can do without.
Your music opens my heart wide, whenever I hear it.
Please keep on
bringing joy and love to the people.
Love, Andreas
Hello Candice &
Ritchie
I hope you and all the band are happy and well, I
have emailed you before but don't know if you got to
read it as you were on tour and you must get so
many,as I mentioned in my last email I have just
found you & your music and have brought several Cd's
/DVDs already I cant get enough of watching
/listening to your music from your beautiful smile
to the dimples when you bunny twitch your nose &
play your instruments, your voice melts me Richie's
guitar work makes the hairs on the back of my neck
stand on end, how happy and genuine you are when you
are all together performing, how we would love to a
part of your extravaganza yes its not just a gig,
show or performance but all of those in one, my wife
and I dance down the hall and into the garden to
your music laughing and giggling not caring what the
neighbours think, I love how you can just pick up
your instruments and sing /play in restaurant's or
wherever you might be that's so special to be able
to do that, what a great line up of musicians you
have Malcom of Lumly on the drums he beats on those
drums like no other I know really enjoying every
moment of it Tudor Rose how she can play the violine
, but their all great musicians, then theirs the
beautiful sisters of the moon Nancy and Mandolin
With voices of angels they harmonise with your voice
so well a perfect combination, we cant wait to be a
part of your extravaganza when are you coming to the
UK please don't leave it to long, thank you for your
fantastic music
P.S. you remind me of my beautiful wife Carol when
we first met 40 years ago it was love at first sight
and she is still as beautiful, we are still as in
love now as we were then, I am glad Ritchie decided
to Tye the knot what took him so long I suppose its
that typical English conservative way afraid of
rejection I felt like that when asked my darling
Carol for her hand, things were difficult then and I
wasn't sure of her answer but I had already brought
the ring in hope, how did Ritchie propose to you, we
both only wish we had met younger I was 24 carol was
26 but wish we had met at 16 or so we could have
more time together, please come to England soon as
we have missed out on your other tours here, only
because we didn't know of you, we have been trying
to learn some Renaissance dances so that we can
dance at your next extravaganza when you get here,
their is so much that we would like to ask you but
wont bore you as you have probably been asked them
hundreds of times before , maybe next time.
God Bless You Ritchie and all the Band
Griff & Carol
Hi Candice,
this is Tina, from the Tiertafel Deutschland e.V. in
Germany.
Today we received your contribution! In the name of
all pets, their owners and all volunteers I want to
thank you VERY MUCH!
All of us who attended your concerts across Germany
and the entire Tiertafel Deutschland e.V. greatly
appreciate that Blackmore's Night gave us the chance
to make us and our work known to the fans of
Blackmore's Night.
My husband and I attended your concert in Krefeld
and it was so nice when you mentioned the Tiertafel.
And you spoke so true when you said "Animals ask so
little and give so much.". That's one of the reasons
we try to help pets and their owners in need because
for some people their pets are the only reason they
get up every morning. Animals love us
unconditionally.
Thanks again to you, your husband Ritchie, the band
and everybody involved.
Kind regards,
Tina
Dear Candice,
Your music is inspiring, encouraging, and really
transmits an energy for
those who listen to it.
All my best,
Sarah
Candice, I love
blackmore's night.
you have such an angelic voice and face.
a pure joy to listen to you sing.
I have been a big fan of Ritchies since I was a
teenager in the late 70's.
his playing is timeless.
I saw him with Rainbow in St Louis in the early
80's.
straight between the eyes tour.
a big deep puple fan too.
you two have such a unique sound.
I talk you guy's up to everyone who will listen to
me.
your sound is an aquired taste but my hard rocking
friends are coming around.
one day when I can afford a guitar,I'd like to learn
some of Ritchies tunes
your song ,wish you were here is so beautiful.it
brings tears to my eyes.
I think of my dad when I hear it. I lost him in 06
to cancer.
I know he is in the presence of God now.
your singing and Ritchies guitar is such a blessing.
God bless you both, Tracy
Dear Lady Candice,
I would like to share with you a humorous story that
happened to me at the New York Ren Fair last year. I
was strolling around, and stepped into a vendor
pavillion where they were selling quite lovely
carvings.
The young woman at the counter pointed at me and
said "They were here not long ago." I was a bit
perplexed, firstly at what seemed to be a gramatical
error, reffering to me as "they." Besides the fact
that I had not been to Ren Fair since the previous
year.
I smiled and told her that it could not have been
me. She giggled and said "Not you.... them."
.... I was wearing a Blackmore's Night tee shirt :)
I am so pleased that I will finally get to see BN on
Oct. 29 at Irving Plaza. I've been a fan for many
years. I've never seen you perform and the last time
that I saw Ritchie live was with some little band
called Deep something or other :)
With fondness and peace,
Keith Haussel
I am a 31 year old
Renaissance woman into mystical and spiritual and
love your music. I even named my cat Lady after the
Medieval times title.
I wanted to tell you that your love and commitment
between you and Ritchie is a real testimony to me of
the power of love. I wish you two much happiness and
wanted to let you know you inspire my husband and I
to work through our tough times.
I like that you used the willowbark on your chuppa
for your wedding because it represents bending
without breaking as you go through life together.
You are beautiful and wonderful. Many blessings to
you and I enjoy your music tremendously.
Katie
Hi candice,
I hope you´ve had a good time in germany.
Unfortunatly we didn´t get to see on of the
concerts. There is another thing I want you to let
you know. You got a very young fan,but a big fan. My
son Jordan,he is 3 1/2 years old,and he wants to see
the dvd of castles and dreams tour, all the time. I
´ve been pregnant seeing that concert,maybe that´s
the reason why he loves you and your music. He
always says, that you are so funny, and richie is a
very good guitarplayer ( Mama, you don´t play so
good guitar...)
I hope you come back to germany next year and he
get´s a chance to see you. he was pretty sad not to
go on concert this year.
Thank you for your incredible voice, the lyrics and
the music. When i´m in a bad mood or get stressed, i
hear the music and it transports me into another
world where i find peace. sounds crazy, i don´t know
how it works,but it´s a good feeling.
I hope you always have fun with your music and you
never get tired.
I need to say hi to you and richie from jordan ;-)
he really likes you pretty much..
Take care
Natascha from germany
Hello Candice!
Just wanted to let you know how ecstatic I am to
have tickets for BN's concert in Cleveland in Oct.!!
This is a dream come true to see you live! I got
front row seats the day after the presale password
tickets, I will be in garb, so I do hope the seats
are actually front row. My guy and I are really
looking forward to this. Jim thinks Ritchie is a
phenominal musician, as he plays, also. I am 60
years old and feel like 16 right now!! We don't go
to many concerts anymore, so this is a very, very
special occasion for us. The only concerts I attend
are Sarah Brightman concerts every few years when
she comes to Ohio !
See you soon!!!
Peace and Love...

Candice,
A great show in Fussen on Wednesday. This was the
first time we had seen Blackmore's Night live and it
was great fun and there were some very magical
moments. I had not been expecting Wish You Were Here
but to hear it back to back with Ocean Gipsy was a
special experience - they are two of my favourite
songs but as they were not in the setlists of the
tours I had seen on DVD I was glad this was the show
I saw. Diamonds and Rust, Soldier of Fortune, Fires
at Midnight and Locked Within the Crystal Ball were
all great too.
Thank you for inspiring a short holiday in Bavaria -
we would not have made the trip otherwise but the
castles and the countryside were wonderful. We hope
the tour has been a success and we hope to see you
in the UK next year (plenty of great castles here
too!).
All the best
Brian & Irina Porritt.
Dear Candice,
My name is Rouzbeh and i'm originally from Iran but
I live in Canada. This summer I fulfilled my dream by
seeing Blackmore's Night live in
Krefeld,Germany.Eventhough it is hard to believe,I
flew all the way from Canada to Germany to see you
guys.I used to live in Iran until I was 16 (I'm 18
now) and since western music is considered against
religion (by the government),it was really difficult
to get your albums and DVDs but I have followed your
every single song since I was 14.I don't know if
you're aware of the things that happened recently in
Iran and the many people who died for freedom. For
me,your music brings me that lost freedom in my home
country and it also reminds me of the many that
don't have the chance to feel the freedom in your
songs.Seeing you live was truly a dream come true
but you don't know how much I was hoping to meet you
guys in person after the concert.I'm still really
looking forward to that.I definitely will see you
again even if I have to fly again to europe but
please tell me how can I meet you afterwards because
it truly means alot to me to get a chance to see the
people that brought me such precious moments.
Love and Respect
Rouzbeh
Dear Candice,
I couldn't tell you how over joyed I was when I saw
that Blackmores Night was playing a show in NYC.
Believe me I'll be there this time around. lol. I've
been listening to your music since the age of 12 and
I even used it in a school project I did for
Renaissance music. Now that I'm 24, I'd say its
about time I'm going to see you guys. Though I must
thank my mother who got me into your music. haha.
I do want to say thank you so much for doing what
you do. Making awesome music and writing awesome
lyrics. Between your wonderful voice and Ritchie's
incredible guitar playing its just, well I have no
words. When I'm down Blackmores Night is the first
thing I put on and in moments I'm happy again. I
don't know why but there's something about your
music that lifts up my spirits. It also inspires me
a whole lot when it comes to writing and
photography.
Again thank you so much and never stop being so
great. <3
