Welcome winter!! Click
here to see our Christmas Eve video! Thank you to Michael
Clark for your work... you captured the magic!
I love this time of year...when crystals fall from the sky...Sometimes
I just sit for hours and see them freeze on the window pane
in so many different crystalline formations. The magic of nature
in its purest form. There is nothing like it... And it is only
this time of year that can make the earth so silent. That can
remind us to listen to that silence and be at peace with it
within the snowfall. I hope that you all remember this season
for what it is supposed to be...forget the hustle and bustle
of what pressures you put on yourself and remember to see the
holidays through the eyes of a child. With just as much innocence
and wonder. Allow yourself, if only at this time of year, to
believe in magic. I wish for you that you will someday have
that belief year round...but if you are not ready for that yet...then
allow yourself to feel it now. Glow with the lights, dance in
the snow, smell the pine scents and bask in the warmth of the
firelight. Watch the sky for reindeer taking to flight. Surround
yourself with those who make you feel wonderful. And as for
gifts, please remember that it isn't about the amount you spend
on someone... your gift of love or appreciation is worth so
much more than money. Of course, our little ones still believe
in Santa, too. So we took them to see him so that they could
put in their order for cat toys and catnip in person. Here's
Hopscotch and
Romper .
A few days ago we played a private show to help raise money
for some local animal charities. We were able to raise over
$1000 with your help! The much needed funds went to Save
A Pet and Little
Shelter, both located on Long Island and doing incredible
work year round. A very special thank you for John Rose and
Ruby's, Steve Kottmeier, Mark Goldberg, Dale Gibson and everyone
who helped to bring joy into the lives of our furry friends
through your generous donations. It really helped!! We are grateful...
If you haven't yet seen the Once In A Million Years video, it
is something to see! It was filmed when we were last at Schloss
Abenburg in Germany- the same day as the special fan show. It
brings a smile to my face each time I think of the unexpected
ending... not what you thought it would be! You can see it here.
I was going through some old emails and came across this slide
show sent to us quite a while ago and created by Rainer and
Susanne of the German Fan Club. It brought back a lot of good
memories. If you haven't seen it yet, click
here.
I would also like to thank Dot Sweet for sharing her photos
from our Whitaker Center show in Pennsylvania. Click here
to see Dot's pictures.
The new interviews that have been completed and will be out
soon are : Goldmine in the USA, Fireworks
in the UK, and BT in Denmark.
A new fan website has been brought to my attention from Italy.
Mario Valente has created www.ritchieblackmore.info.
It is a really beautiful site and worth the visit! Thank you
Mario...
And thank you, to all of you for an incredible year. We do hope
that you have enjoyed the music, the shows, the songs and the
videos... Now as the winter winds whisper through the shivering
pines and I watch the flashing rainbow lights and think of you...
I want you all to know that we are raising a glass to you through
the holiday season and the New Year and we all wish you peace
and joy...to everyone...
See you next year!!
Always,
Candice
