January
2005
What a strange time the beginning
of the year is. I am not yet done reflecting on the past adventures
from the last 12 months, the journeys, songs and experiences
we have shared together...when a new year is already here and
underway. It is sort of sad letting the old year go, but the
new one hold so much promise and hope that you can't help but
be swept away into her unknown... with baited breath as to what
new surprises she may hold for you... and so this year's adventures
begin!
Thank you all for your beautiful cards and presents... Ritchie
and I enjoyed reading your thoughts and sentiments for the holidays.
We hope that you all had a toast and a cup of wassail as we
did when we were thinking of all of you...
We have been busy writing the new songs for a new album. The
music is beckoning us into the studio again and we will head
in probably in February to record new music for you!
But for now, we are writing and preparing for our new tourdates
on the west coast! It will be our first time out there as Blackmore's
Night and we are so looking forward to seeing all our Nevada
and California friends for the 1st time in their own states!

There are some new interviews out with Ritchie and I that you
may like to read. Metallion
for Japan, BT in Denmark, and Acoustic Magazine in the UK. There
is also a great link here.
Thanks Tina Chancey for sharing that one!
The newest news out of Germany is that the television show Die
Burg will be using the song Lorelei as their theme song! Die
Burg is a reality show that brings people back to the Renaissance
times to see how they would live back then... The soundtrack
for the legendary story of Siegfried, the origin of the Lord
of the Rings, Die Nibelungen - The Ring Of The Nibelungs , will
include 2 of our songs! Shadow of the Moon and Gone With The
Wind. www.ring-of-the-nibelungs.com

Blackmore's Night has two songs on the soundtrack compilation:
Gone With The Wind & Shadow of the Moon.
