The mystery of winter continues into the New Year...
she certainly is full of surprises isn't she? Here on the island
where we are normally covered in crystalline snow drifts and
icicles, instead the bulbs are already peeking out of the earth,
feeling the warmth and wondering how spring could've come so
early? Some days are filled with sunshine, some nights bitterly
cold with raging winds, and some afternoons misting us with
showers of light rain... and I love each of the turns that we
are getting. I love how unpredictable the earth is and how it
teaches us so much about our own lives... you never really know
whats around the corner... you just have to surrender to the
mystery sometimes and allow it to take you where it will...
enjoy the journey and the sensations it brings with it...You
don't always need to be in control...
As always at this time of year, December is a time of celebration
and reflection, but January is the month of hope and promises
for the future of the year.
We'd like to thank you all for all your support for Winter Carols!
We entered into the Billboard New Age charts here in the USA
and the album continues to ride high there... Christmas Eve
ranked at #30 in its Mediabase
chart positions for radio play and Wish You Were Here did
well too, but perhaps some of the the most exciting news is
that we have been voted #1 by the NPR stations nationwide to
New Age Reporter for Winter Carols, as the best ranked cd for
December! Click here to see
chart.
Even Psychocircus
Radio named us as album of the Month and aired an interview
with an hour special. Thank you to all the street teams who
did so much work all over the world, especially the UK, France
and America, you are so amazing!! And what a delicious present
this was from Black Forest
Bakery!
You can also click here
to see our video interview with Artisian News Service... Carols
as Satan's Music? Hmm.... Draw your own conclusions on that
one...
And to read a quick review about our small fan show to raise
money for Save A Pet, done by one of our wonderful fans/streetteam
members/friends... Melissa... click
here.
In this, the tenth year of our existence as Blackmore's Night
we have many New Year's resolutions! We hope to: release the
DVD that was filmed in Paris from our show there in 2006 as
well as the footage that we recorded at our last show in Germany
at Landshut Castle this past summer. We are booking our dates
that will bring us to places we have never been to before...
as those get closer I'll tell you more! We are writing for our
next studio album... and there is another guest project in the
works for me! So, shrouded in mystery as always, but when the
details form concrete visions, I'll be sure to let you in on
all the details...
Until
that time comes, check out Spellcraft
Magazine from Australia, I'm on the cover of it for this
month! Thanks Melissa... I did an interview for the DP
Hub but to read it you'll need to register. We just finished
a couple of interviews for Benelux, 1 for Dutch Progressive
Rock Pages and 1 for IO Magazine.
Also, there is write up on Magiquest, the theme park I am an
intervactive video screen Princess in, and they discuss Blackmore's
Night in March's issue of Games
Magazine.
To buy the soundtrack of Magiquest including our songs "Way
To Magiquest" and "Magic Wand Tree", click here.
And as always, your Between Us
Questions are ready for you now... There is some tourdate information
for you on that page as well...
Love and light,
