March 2005
March has decided to enter this year as a lion. The snow has freshly fallen today and the winds are roaring fiercely threatening outside my windows. I'm watching the birds trying so hard to fly in these rough winds, being blown around and yet trying again and again to make it to the food that I have left for them. They are resiliant. Their wings fluttering in reds and blacks sillouetted against the white background of the snow. They are blown away by harsh winds, but don't give up. They keep trying... once again. We can learn something from them...

It has taken awhile to get back into writing to you all. I was away on tour last month in Las Vegas and California. What a brilliant time we had! The new friends we met, the garb, the dancing and singing... Thank you west coast for welcoming us with open arms! For reviews of some of the shows see www.blackmoresnight.com. Thank you to Paul Parks for the photos!

One of the new fans that we had the pleasure of meeting was the legendary and unbeliveably talented Ms Bea Arthur. You may know her from Maude or the Golden Girls television shows. She was gracious enough to come backstage after the show and it was such a pleasure to meet her and her son Matt and his friends. We actually recently went to see her perform her one woman show in Nyack and she brought tears to our eyes with her emotional renditions of songs she had chosen. Then her comedy had us laughing...bringing more tears! If you get the chance to see her show, you shouldn't miss the opportunity. She brings honesty back to the stage...

We returned home from the west coast and went straight to work! Hopscotch, Romper and our new addition Sherbert (the Betta fish, given to us by the Sisters of the Moon for the holidays) were awaiting our return. Actually, Hopper has taken it upon himself to babysit Sherbert when we leave the house. He sits with his nose against the glass for hours! It's nice to see friends made from totally different backgrounds... One of air, one of sea and yet they share an unspoken communication. Something else to be learned...

I do have a bit of bad news...When I returned home I turned on my computer to answer your Between Us questions for the month. Since I can only answer 5 a month I had so many backlogged that I was saving to answer...Amazing letters, inspirational and inquisitive...from all over the world. And as I prepared to answer you...my computer had some fatal errors. I tried for weeks to understand and finally wound up having to reinstall everything. The sad part is that all of the emails sent to me from before February have been lost...I was so upset... till I realized that although they are not in my computers memory anymore...they will always be in my memory. And although I may not have the names and the specific letters, I remember the sentiments and the spirit of all of them. So, don't think that I was not answering you...and know that your letters have touched me. If you wish to resend, if you haven't ben answered, please do...I will be waiting...
For now the new answers for March are on our Between Us page.

We have added new art to the Reflections page under Dreamers... Thank you for for sharing your creativity with me!

We also have quite a few projects in the works...more on those as the visions become clearer.

Tourdates are being confirmed for this year and we are getting even closer to finishing the DVD...finally!!

We have also just completed a few interviews for the following magazines which will be out soon. Blackmoresnight.com will have specific information as it becomes available on these: Live Magazine (California, USA), Gitarre and Bass (Germany), Goldmine (USA), and Faerie Magazine (USA).

I am returning to the studio now...we are on our 3rd song already! I think you will be pleased...
Stay warm...

Love and light,
Candice
