Welcome May! What a wonderful season spring is. When
we get time off I spend most of my hours in the garden, planting,
feeling the earth bewteen my fingers and breathing in the scent
of spring. Its the time for renewal, for re birth, the season
of love and it seems that everything I see is in pairs. The
birds have chosen their partners, even the butterflies seem
to enjoy traveling together and basking in the sun atop the
flowers. The leaves are starting to fill the trees again and
we have this great old cherry blossom that has bloomed and is
now shedding her blossoms...so each time the breeze blows the
air is filled with pink snow that doesn't melt away... it just
dances in the air. Sometimes I run out into it just to catch
those pink blossoms in my hair...its so beautiful...
There is a lot happening here...so much to tell you! I know
you have probably seen Ritchie's birthday party pictures on
his site at www.blackmoresnight.com
where we celebrated the whole night through on April 14th surrounded
by close friends and family at the Old Mill Inn in Mattituck.
But I thought I would share my favorite pictures with you of

This past week we had Albert from Des
Geyers helping us celebrate May Day, but also to perform
on some of our new songs. As you can see, he makes playing the
bagpipe
look so easy! His sound coupled with Ritchie's hurdy gurdy and
my shawm is like a whole other world than the usual music of
today. It is like nothing you have heard before!
The 1st issue of Faerie Magazine with our interview in it has
just arrived at my door and I love it! If you are into the mystical

But now the news I know you have been waiting for. The DVD is
finally mixed! We are really proud of this... the show was recorded
at Schloss Veldenstein in Neuhaus, but there is so much more
to it! Home video footage, videos, animation, slide shows, interviews....
you will love it...I know it! The release date is May 31st,
2005. Look for it in your area and as we get closer more will
be added on the Blackmore's Night home page.
We are about 1/2 way through the recording of the new album.
That will be released later on this year. The tour dates are
just now being confirmed. Looks like Germany is the first place
we will visit...click here
