October 2004
The leaves are turning beautiful colors of gold and
copper and the winds are beginning to blow a little colder.
Welcome autumn! The home of my favorite holiday: Halloween!
You know that Ritchie and I are very close, but one year I decided
to actually BE Ritchie- as you can see. Always a woman of many
faces, many sides and many emotions...I never duplicate the
same Halloween costume twice. Here are some of my past creations:
here's a hint as to where I am in the photos...Ariel, the princess
of darkness, piratess, a ghost of myself, a cat , and feeling
a little devilish....oh, and yes thats me with the whip too!
That explains a lot doesn't it...Click
for the photos here!
I must share an amazing story with you. I have
always had such a great respect for the actors that are on Broadway.
They give so much everynight for months and are so talented...amazing.
So, last month I went to New York City to see the Boy
From Oz. It's starring Hugh Jackman and it is the role that
won him a Tony award this year. It was well deserved- what a
performance! Dancing, singing, acting, and moments that would
bring you to tears set up against moments that would have you
dancing in the aisles! Anyway, I was sitting in the audience
dancing in my seat to one of the songs and Mr. Jackman (playing
Peter Allen) noticed, stopped the show and put a spotlight on
us. He invited us to sing a song and we happily obliged. What
a great honor! Lady Nancy was in my group that night and we
sang Ghost of a Rose and Past Times With Good Company with a
Broadway orchestra backing and Mr Jackman dancing along. That
moment will live on in my memory forever. He was even gracious
enough to announce the name: Blackmore's Night , to the packed
house. Thank you
Mr Jackman... you are a true gentleman and an inspiration.
A big thanks to all of our American fans!! I had come down with
an upper respiratory infection the day of the 1st show of the
USA tour. So, all the shows that we did here I was taking antibiotics,
day cold medicine, night cold medicine, lots of vitamin C and
throat lozenges. And knowing what a close band and crew we have,
Ritchie, 1/2 the crew members and some of the band got sick
as well. But onward we went and each night we had such a great
time. Once again, our incredible fans pulled us through. We
had such a great time with you all!! Thank you for the flowers,
the laughter, the presents, and the love...

By the way, you know that you can make a difference
in this world by doing one small thing per day for someone else...
People who need a little light in their lives are all around
you...share some of yours. Now, I don't normally do this, because
I want people to choose how they make their own difference in
this world. But I do have a close friend who has done so much
for so many...She asked me if I would post this on my site and
I said of course I would. So, if you have the time, and $3.50
or $5 to contribute to Beads By Jack... a small amount for such
a huge difference that we can make in this individual's life.
Please take a moment to read this. Here
is Jack's story.
Enjoy the first days of the autumn ...Happy
Halloween and Samhain... hope to see you on the road!
Love and light,
Candice
